    Briggs repair

Need to pull the flywheel to get the ring gear replaced and this happened. It's a cast crank and it shattered when I rapped the puller with a hammer in an attempt to get it to pop loose. No the nut was not on the crank when I was trying to pull the flywheel. Now what to do? Grind it flat and...

It was coon proof just not....

Bear proof!!! Had a trash can full of corn and sunflower seed out back for the bird/squirrel feeders. Mama and two cubs seemed to enjoy it. Have 35 minutes of video as well but Vista don't like my camera....

    Sealing splashwell seams

Want to reseal the splashwell but am unsure what to use. Looks like it had some sort of grayish caulk that is now brittle and cracking.

Should I pour foam in this Lund?

I can't make up my mind on this.:( I like the idea of just using gulvit on the hull and then filling it with foam. Should stiffen the hull, deaden any sounds, and not melt if gas is spilt. But, it will also be hard to keep the drains open front to back. Water could get trapped. It will be...

Car hits my 2008 Peterbilt 386.

Many hazards on the road and my favorite is people who have to be in front of me at any cost. The trooper called this kids move the Jersey sweep. I was traveling I-80 westbound in PA when this kid decided that he would come down the onramp and blow through the open lane to my right(I had moved...

    How would you fix this?

Looks like the original roller trailer caused this break/crack. Had the hull full of water today and that spot didn't leak. Opinions?

what would this tilt trim work in.

Only info I have is it was off of a 70hp rude. Look like something that would work on a 1974 model? I doubt it but I got to ask....Thanks

    Lund needs new floor/foam.

Floor was getting soft and the foam was waterlogged so I tore it apart. Expandable foam sounds great but I want something that can be removed later if there are issues with the rivets. Leaning towards pool noodles right now. Been looking at Bassboy1's version of this boat here as he did pour...

    ID this johnson 9.5

I bought this in 1992 at a garage sale for $150. Used it for 4-5 years then hung it in the shed when I sold most of my fishing gear off. Needs to be gone through, but I have no idea as to the year or where the model numbers are. Thanks

    Replacing Coils ,stator, rectifier.

The Eninrude 70hp I have needs some electrical work. It ran great last year but didn't charge. The coils on the stater are weeping, two of the three ignition coils are cracked and I see no reason not to replace the rectifier while I am at it. Model number off the engine is 70473m. I'd hate...

    Need some Merc info.

This is a 135hp merc on a 1972 Crestliner. Thinking of buying it just to swap onto my Lund. Owner claims it runs fine but was unsure of the year of the engine. Said it has power tilt/trim. Can anyone nail down what year it might be with this fuzzy pic? Any major issues to look for? If I get...

No charge, what to look for/fix?

Engine is a 1974 Evinrude 70hp. I think that the guy I bought this boat from may have test run it without the battery hooked up. Would this cook the rectifier, the stator, or both? I have not gotten a manual yet. Visual inspection is that all three ignition coils are cracked and that the...

    This look right? Cav/vent prob.

Just trying to sort out some issues. This is the first boat over 14' and 10hp I have owned. Boat info is in sig. Runs ok set in this hole, but will cav/vent in semi hard turns. Cavs/vents easy in the two upper holes going strait in rough water. Looses 3mph in the lower holes as the bow is...

    ID a lund??

Bought a lund boat but am not sure of the model. Can the model be confirmed with the serial number? Anywhere online to get this info? It's a 1975 17' 5" boat with a 1974 70hp evinrude. Thanks
