ID a lund??

Bought a lund boat but am not sure of the model. Can the model be confirmed with the serial number? Anywhere online to get this info? It's a 1975 17' 5" boat with a 1974 70hp evinrude. Thanks

Contact Lund with the HIN (hull identification number) and they should be able to tell you.

Called lund it's a VFR17 rated for a 130hp engine and 2135# capacity with an 822# hull...

Hmm. The Lund in my sig is a 1974 VFR-15 fish n ski. It is about 750 pounds, and rated for 80 horse. Is yours the same goshawful yellow as mine? (trust me, if it was, you would know what I am talking about)

Kind of wish it was some shade of yellow(Its Blue!!!) as it would be a better match to my solar yellow Jeep Cherokee... Should get to test it out for the first time tomorrow, so I might get a pic of it on the water that I can post Friday night.

Here is a shot of mine from a while back to show it's color. As obvious, we are restoring it. The previous owner left it out since 1993, and 13 years of no tarp kills a boat. It has faded some. Underneath cleats and such, it is a very vivid, ugly yellow. Lets just say it is getting painted.

Gutted it today. Floor was soft in several spots and the foam was waterlogged and plugging up the drains. The marking with the model number is on a stringer. Thought I might find better tresure in the old lund but nothing looked too good.
