I bought this in 1992 at a garage sale for $150. Used it for 4-5 years then hung it in the shed when I sold most of my fishing gear off. Needs to be gone through, but I have no idea as to the year or where the model numbers are. Thanks

The model and serial numbers would be on a small plate attached to the port (left) transom bracket, also possibly on a small quarter sized core plug on the powerhead. Find that model number and we can pinpoint exactly what you have.

The dark green color (Forest Green) of the engine would however indicate that it is a 1968 model, and if so, the model number should be MQ-14.

Well I now see where the data plate was. All thats left is the two rivets. There is a core plug with a circled M and j2763562. Any other clues to verify 1968?

Know of any mechanical changes from 67 to 69? I should be able to order parts with the MQ-14 model number at least. Thanks
