In areas that won't be immersed in water for long periods then I suppose it would be Ok. You could also use Fine Wood Dust from your sander or a combination of the two. Back in the Day, people actually use Wheat Flour to thicken it.

You can get sheet neoprene or rubber at Home Depot in the garden dept at the water pond supplies.

I'd use talc in epoxy resin, but not polyester resin.

Ok so my plan is to put a coat of csm on the underside tab it in with 1708 2 coat of csm on topside . Then I want to put a layer of 18 oz woven roving for texture. Does that sound alright?

Then I am thinking about gel coating I know to get it to look good will take a lot of sanding but I figure I only have to do the gunwales the deck I want texture.
My question is if I spray on the gel coat do I have to sand and buff it right away or can I do it over time while using the boat ?

Deck cut and 1.5 oz mat on one side. Plus I tried the bigger console off another boat I had seems to work

Ok this is the console a little beat but I hope I can make it nice. The few areas of crazing do I just sand and fair over

You're gunna need to dremel out all those cracks. If you don't they'll reappear. Are you gunna gelcoat it or paint it?

I used PB. Didn't want to wait 72 hours for PL to cure. I mixed my PB a little light on MEKP, so it would kick a little more slowly to give me time to work. I made it pretty thick, too.

PB for your Decking. You still need to dremel that crazing and fill with mayonaise consistency fairing material made from resin and glass bubbles.
