Greeting's trying for 3-4-5 of aug and with in 10 miles of portland on the columbia. Trying to stay out of the gorge due to both the wind and sand bar's ........no speed bump's needed...:D

Yes that look's like a go now, everyone that has posted so far should be able to get in that time window, might be a little tight for Boom but he is a resourceful guy.....i'm sure he can manage some how.

Havnt heard a peep from Luber Dude or Crunch, and if anyone has the abilities to make contact it would be good to see them there, and anyone from this part of the country.......posting or not.

Tommorrow i will be able to go and take a look @ some the camp's or locations to make sure the nessecary accomodation's are present......and present you guy's with the option's..

Well, I got some commitments, but at the moment I really just don't know. Big boats in the slip, 20 footer on the trailer, but the trailer aint road legal...hmmm..got a little over powered Flatbottom sitting out there somewhere..legal to roll...we'll see more later..

Spent the day running up and down the columbia, down stream form Portland there's only one decent facility and to many issue's there. I will get this resolved tommorrow

Group AccommodationsGroup camp is for tent and/or RV use. The camp accommodates 200 people. Facilities include one kitchen shelter with and one without water or power. There are two adirondack (three-sided) sleeping shelters, and two vault toilets. Showers are available in main camp area. Fees vary with size of the group. To reserve, call (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688.

If there's going to be a run yes.......If everyone wants to fish and crab then it's mouth of the columbia, but no water sports, one can boat there no problem without going over the bar

I guess i should post Government island as well, it's primitive camping and can only be reached by boat, but the beaches are fantastic room for everyone and then some, close to downtown portland and a few risky beach's.......:D


Now if the salmon are running it's a 4 mile jaunt to the hot spot from there..

Gentlemen let's not make this a act of congress, Vote id say Government Island, room for all no reservation's fish nude beaches and no one is going to tell us what to do.......... Lets be done with this.........:eek:

Oh yeah its a big city, want to play and boat and have fun rent a room it's a couple of hundred bucks and you have it all, just exploring option's

Gov Island is fine with me; wifey says has to be near Port-O-Potties though.
She doesn't do the bushes (Sheeeze).

Maybe time to teach her Jimmy! Take her by the hand and lead her into the bushes.... You can set an example and show her. You might even ask her if she would like to help. :eek::p:D

BTDT (Oh the memories):D Now, it's something more about bugs on her butt or something like that. But, "you will sit on a Port-o-Potty seat" I say:eek:, go figure. I would be more afraid of whats on the seat, than in the bushes.

She presented me with a solution, Buy a camp toilet. I guess she is in too:cool:.

IVe been getting a few PM's, guys look's like Astoria or the Warrenton area, the crabbing should be great, there will be salmon fishing the camping area is not primitive plenty of thing's to see. great beaches overall it's a place where a group can gather have fun watch the furry of nature and still boat in the bay........and plenty fo beaches to chase your wive's around nak'd private.........:eek:

For those who chose to fish as you can see there is plenty of fishing well with the bay area or river area

The yellow line is a known area for crabbing and quite safe

If the bar is rough, one can walk out to the point and watch the spectacle, it is quite a thing to watch bring feild glasses and watch some of the ocean going vessel's get slammed.......:D
