Re: Pacific North West Gathering.
Most of the time the gathering of people and it's number's are measure of success, and then again there are rare time's when the the people that do show make the gathering a unqualifed memory.
Well the PNWG wasnt a huge turnout the people that did show have left a warm mark in my memory. Haunt was just as he appear's in the forum's warm funny and provacitive, his family was warm freindly and very engaging. And rather a new member I-boat's WoodRat kinda lead the charge.
There's the Hammond marina, quaint, nice facility but overwhelmed with the coast gaurd and game warden's they checked every boat coming and going for reg's. Kinda got under Haunt's skin a bit but he survived.........
My wife had the camera but if one could portray the look's on the i-boat fleet crossing the bar it would go something like this............Woodrat....charge..........Haunt........ummmm ok.....ohh and then Gunner late but i assure you........
What's funny about this is Rat charged out on the bar in a 16' aluminum like the game is on, here's a pic of his boat and his booty
there's a pic of one brave and kind generous soul there, he travled 80 noutical miles to come...
Both Haunt and Rat made it, Gunner got boarded and turned back by the coat gaurd for no flare's.........geesh what a life
The ocean was said to be calm that day but if 8-10' roller's are calm (on the bar) i can attest to the GraveYard of the Pafic lore....
Truly it would have been great to have a fleet of 7-8 i might not have been busted and the bite was really on, only problem was they were short striking and one could go thourgh a lot of bait just landing a few.
Anyway's back at camp were were entertained with the dog's and there first gathering .......errr meeting and in the end it really was a great time...
