Paid 30 bucks for it. It's a simple overhead projector..the kind where the lens is adjusted up and down for focus and the top head swivels. Need it bigger or smaller? Move it forward or backward :D

Well just about everyone from the Iboats forum has posted on this so Im adding one!

Ok I am sure you already did this :), but, just to make sure before you get too far back together, did you epoxy the cutout area edges? (for the outdrive thru transom hole area)
I am SURE you did but cant tell from the pics. and believe me I am NO EXPERT at boatwrighting....that being said Awesome job on the boat, be great to see her finished!:D

Ya know, that overhead projector is a good call...

It'll save you a lot of time on painting that "Theme" on the water wagon...:D

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

well guys........what can i say?

i checked the boat after 48 hours cure on the paint.
it will allways need another coat.....even after 20 coats ....it will still need another.....

i looked at the back where the water dripped on it.....and that section does need another coat....but...it can wait....it doesnt look too bad....some drips....some scarring where the plastic hit the wet paint.

but all in all.....its not too bad....so im leaving it for another day.

in the mean time i opened up another box of roundtuits.

i putzed around with the hull.....doing things that needed to be done,.......

then i grabbed the transom bell and housing.....and did the gimball berring.....and the bellows....and the water inlett pipe.....and the exaust bellows.....

i had a lot of trouble doing the exhaust bellows......what a pita.
the bellows needs a special tool......one that will spread the bellows and at the same time....go around the forward reverse shaft.....and at the same time....pull the bellows on to the flange.....

i didnt have one of those tools......

after several un kind words.....and making a special tool....its on.....done.....

i still need to re mount it....as i just bolted it on to the transom to use the transom as an anvil fot taking out thoe old gimbal berring.

but all i have to do now is to install the trim sensors.

but having said all that......the project has moved to another landmark level.....final assembly of the exterior.....

tommorow....the boat will see the light of day for the first time in months....as i pull the boat out of the shop and pressure wash all the sanding dust out of it.......then its back in for assembly.....

no quote on a time line......lol

cheers

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

Hey Oops!

I am so glad to hear that you are moving on and not stressing too much about the paint at this moment. Get 'er built and in the water and you will have all winter to sand, paint and repeat:p

Where were you hiding on Friday? I stopped at the shop in the afternoon ready to do some sanding with you! The lights were on but nobody was home....I texted and left ya a msg on your cell.

Good on you that you built a tool to get your exhaust bellows on. I am sure that there were a few softly spoken words during the process:D

Let me know what you are up to this week and I will stop in!

Cheers,
Yar.

the boat actually has seen daylight the past few days !....

i pulled her out of the shop to wash her down on the inside...

there was a lot of sanding dust in it...lol

ya know....there is somthing really cool about taking a garden hose to the inside of your boat and not even worring about rot...or water getting in any where...lol

i also took the time to CLEAN UP THE SHOP !...
man....that was a job...lol.
but....i got it done.......more pics coming soon.....its finally assembly time !

Is this the part of the project when you don't show us pics anymore?

Are we gonna have to wait until the unveiling to see any more?

We're dying here Oops...
