Well, Family issues and Trailer issues have bitten me too! Trailer rollers that have been sitting in unopened box for a month turned out to have 1/2" holes not 5/8" and I did not want to drill em out so I re-ordered and My #2 Grandson had his 2nd birthday this past weekend so I lost another weekend of working on the boat. Looks like I WON'T be launching till the 27th. You guys have a great time!!!! I'll catch up with you one of these days.

Well, I just killed most of the workday on this whole thread.
Really, really amazing project. Just awesome. I'm jealous.

Now I know this is likely akin to asking a woman how much she weighs, but I'm going to be an impolite bastard and ask anyway.
How much money do you think you've put into Miss Morgan by this point? (I'm just talking parts/materials... since your labor is free )

I have all the receipts....just haven't added them up....I need to do that but I'm waiting till I finish up the gas tank cover and anchor locker this fall.

No doubt. I added a PDF to the first post of my Ambassador thread to keep track of costs. I update it when I buy new pieces. It is amazing how quickly it adds up. Hell mine is a budget resto and I think I am at $4K already.

Oh I have a pretty good idea, but its still cheaper than a new boat...and I more or less have a new one at this point. Besides they don't make them like Miss Morgan anymore, and that was the point of this restore!

Not to mention you know every single nook and cranny of her.
I'd imagine knowing your boat like that cuts down a lot of the "WTF is wrong with this thing???" moments.

Oh you still have a few of them....the one I had this spring was no power at the fuse block, turned out to be a bad terminal! It was intermittent....so I took the volt meeter to the lake with me....when it acted up I spent about 10 minutes laying on my back in the sun till I found it! But you are right in that I have fewer of those moments!

Just and FYI, if those of you who are going to make it to Eufaula could PM me by Thursday night that would be great. I need to do some shopping for the burgers and dogs on Friday. Looking forward to it, looks like the weather is going to be great for it!

The Tawakoni event It is a little late. There has been a long time season closing event at Plowman's creek that was canceled this year due to various issues. This seems to be shaping up to be the replacement at least for this season.

Take a few pics at Eufaula this weekend. Wish we could make it. Be safe and have fun.

Ok, looks like I am the no show at the meet-up....I had everything ready to go...backed Miss Morgan down the ramp (hell I even had my sunscreen on)......hit the tilt/ trim.....the tilt came down just fine....hit the trim rams and Max wouldn't budge an inch! I even put my foot on his hat pushing on him while hitting the switch, the motor ran like hell, but he didn't move an inch. After checking the fluid and all the basics I threw in the towel. BBO was the only one who could make it so I just texted him and headed for the barn.....guess this weekends meet up just wasn't meant to be! Oh well now time to figure out how to rebuild this damn pump / rams......

so has anyone rebuilt this type tilt trim before? If so any pointers would be appreciated.....guess I'm going to start looking for a kit today and get it ordered.
