I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am finally getting ready to spend some time at the lake with Miss Morgan now that the flooding is over. I have been putting off finishing a few things, need to do some maintenance and also wanted to add a few things. I spent all week rounding up parts, natural after a few hours this morning I went out in search of more parts.....funny how you spend more time finding parts than working on the boat! Here is a little of what i got done today.

I never did sort out a good tie down system for the aft end of the boat.....just a couple cam straps that were always coming loose.

I decided to fork out the $$ and buy some ratcheting tie downs that mount to the trailer. This was sort of last miniute, wish I shopped these some, but so far they work great,

The battery has been bouncing around, mostly because I haven't found a hold down that didn't look like it was cheap and would fall apart. A few years ago when I built the deck hard point brackets for the fuel tank, I made two extra for the battery. So I pulled up some of the carpet and prepped the deck for new glass. I wet out 3 pieces of 2oz matt, then pushed the mounts down in them.

I took this picture when I was cutting out some 1708 to tab them in with. I'm going to let that set over night and wrap up the battery mount tomorrow.

Eufaula is finally where I think its manageable......but they haven't been in a hurry to let the water out. The water is pretty crappy from all the mud that washed in, but a day at a muddy lake beats a day at work!

Lol, thin plastic no big deal....if that was a hardwood we would have been building a jig to stabilize it and standing off to the side. I won't post any video of me with a worm drive skill saw....my dad was a framer,......

I like the fact that they are right handed and balanced side to side. Plus they have torque for days.....Seems your a wormdrive guy or a circular saw guy, kind of like Ford or Chevy, lol

Here is the video on the completed work. I still need to make my fiberglass wire hold down clamps, but I ran out of time.....so we'll save that for later.

I just got back from 7 days at the lake, all the improvements worked great! The lake was up but down to a manageable level. Here is a shot of the beach in a game preserve area.....across Miss Morgans very dirty bow!

The water clarity level wasn't that great, but hey its water right? We have red dirt in OK, which w hen it floods washes into the lakes....so mine is tinted red this year...which matches Miss Morgan! Hope everyone has a great weekend, I'm hoping to get a little time on Fuggly!
