    1993 70hp stumped!

I would start by insuring al the pins in the amphenol connectors are seated to the correct depth. Then I would do a check for shorts to ground of stator, trigger and coils.

1993 johnson 60 hp NO SPARK

1st compression test to awake sure you have a motor worth putting time and money into... Then fund the amphenol connector at the power-pack that has the blk/yellow wire. Separate connector. Jump all the terminals that are NOT blk/yellow. This leaves black/yellow wire open. Test for spark...

    Johnson 50hp throttle linkage?

After the compression and spark tests you might verify that the timing cam roller has both layers on it. The outer layer cracks and falls off. They dont idle well when that happens.

    1994 Evinrude 30hp E30ELERM ignition went dead

So, you will get varying alarms. Solid tone, rapid beep, slow beep. Overheat, no oil, low oil. There is no alarm for lower unit oil. The oil you put in the tank is for mixing with the fuel. The alarms also go bad from time to time resulting in false tones for lack of a better term. These...

Need advise on skeg repair on 1991 48SPL Evinrude

I weld replacement skegs on daily. This is the only way to go. I also recommend that the welder use a proper cast aluminum replacement skeg. Repairs using plate just don't work well. A company out of Texas, skeg depot, makes the cleanest replacement castings that I have found. Leave the oil...

    92 johnson 90 hp problem

You can choose to throw expensive parts at it. One may also choose to diagnose and replace only those necessary. You may decide it is best to run on 50:1 premix while preforming these tests. Step one would be to run a compression check just to verify you aren't throwing good money after...

    Carburetor

I believe the biggest difference is port timing in those models. About .100". We used to run the blocks on some kneelers. The 15s were always faster and higher r's.

    '94 60 HP Intermittent Spark

I think you should start over with the diagnosis. Step one is a compression test, no sense wasting time on failing block. Testers can be rented or loaned at parts stores. Step two is an open air gap spark test set at 7/16ths inch with appropriate tester commonly available at parts stores for...

You were told a story, not the whole story. It takes more than a carb. If you want a 15 buy a 15. But since your gonna be a prick, shove off.

1987 Johnson GT 150 power trim problem

If both accessory switches quit working at same time I would start at the wiring they share. If one went out before the other then the switches themselves are more likely.
