Ok, these should help. You can see where fuel enters from the side in the first pic, then where the fuel outlets into the float bowl on the top in the second. No where near the gasket.
Still in very good cosmetic condition. Should not take much to get her going. Will post a video for those who have not experienced the sound of one of these 50hp beasts at wide open throttle!

Heat and cool cycles with penetrating oil in between.
Why are you taking the head off? New gasket?
While it is off, dress the head before installing new gasket. Coat bolts with Gasket Sealing Compound. Torque to 110 INCH/lbs for a full rotation...

The prop shaft seal is similar in removing as the drive shaft seal. It can be pulled out with a puller, gently, or if the housing has the holes on the backside it can be punched out. Just be gentle with the housing, they break easily...

New head gaskets have sealer already applied. If they are shiny, they go on dry.
