    Tiller handle

Get the articulated kind, preferably with two joints. The extension clamps to the steering grip to allow you to adjust speed.

    Tiller handle

How about an aftermarket tiller extension (probably Amazon)?

1991 15 HP Evinrude pull start model

Your manual should have a parts blow up of the steering handle/throttle control parts -- may be enough to troubleshoot. A throttle friction control (thumbscrew) would do the same thing. A working throttle control like the one you reference is intended to return to a preset trolling speed --...

1968 Evinrude 6hp fuel pump question....

Maybe just lucky, but have three of the pumps and they work fine. Maybe check buyer reviews before ordering (probably not totally dependable as some lots might be defective, others not. Dunno.)

    Engine Overheated on Evinrude

Like its smaller sister motors, that 75hp will shoot a stream out five or six feet after the t.stats open. If I'm particularly paranoid about a motor, I like a simple temp gauge that takes a reading from a sender on top of the head after impeller replacement. The gauges are a little hard to...

    1984 Evinrude 25hp mounting

After lake test establishes height, run a couple of bolts through the engine mount from the outside.

Anti Siphon Valve on Fuel Tank Pickup?

Years ago I had a '54 Trojan Sea Breeze outboard cruiser (21') running copper lines from the two saddle tanks to the selector switch in the stern, along with the bulb and rubber hoses in the motor well. One solution may be to replace lines under the floor with copper. Anti-siphon valves can...

2-Stroke Intermittent Bogging During Break-In (25:1 oil mix)

Admit I rarely check the drop --.just set them level with the inverted top most of the time, and go.

    1969 Evinrude 85HP - No spark

on removing the flywheel nut -- I started using the air gun for that (not for torquing it back on, of course.)

2-Stroke Intermittent Bogging During Break-In (25:1 oil mix)

Float looks nice and level. If you mean to check the drop, need to flip the carb top over and measure.

    1985 Johnson 90hp tach problem

Clean up the terminal strip connectors and tach connectors with some sandpaper. Don't rev on the flusher. I would try to address uneven engine operation first, but need to test in the lake as you need back pressure. Use a timing gun/light to see if spark drops out. Let the engine warm up and...

    Oil on choke?

Use the older one for a shop battery.

Anti Siphon Valve on Fuel Tank Pickup?

Think the bulb serves as an anti siphon valve, along with the fuel connector at the motor.

2-Stroke Intermittent Bogging During Break-In (25:1 oil mix)

Use the IR gun -- top of cylinders. Operating temp 120F to 140F or thereabouts (depends a little on lake temp.) 160F is overheating.

    Oil on choke?

Bet you have been cranking/choking without starting (old battery). Unburned 2-cycle.

^^agree with the above responses. What was your carb cleaning procedure?

    Pull starter pinion replacement

You have to remove spring tension, as you have to do anyway to disassemble. Need to be careful as there is quite a bit of force even on the small motor. With tension removed, tap the pin lightly from one side, and pull out with a needle nosed pliers from the other side.

    Best solvent to soak parts

Nah, open up all passages and soak in lacquer thinner, or lacquer thinner and acetone. Finish with some poking in small openings (soft wire or carb tools made for that purpose). Finally, spray liberally with carb cleaner.

    Evinrude 15

Try a different tank and hose using fresh 50:1 with no additives. TCW-3 2-stroke oil of your choice. Run until the fuel in the engine is burned out. Needle setting 1 to 1 1/2 open after lightly closed (clockwise). Adjust after warmed up.

J150EXECD No spark w/ regulator connected

But...likely need a new water-cooled regulator/rectifier and gasket. Can have a serious heat issue -- sort of stuff State Farm might have to deal with after the fire is out.
