Need help identifying 69 fiberglass boat

Actually if you look at the first pic which has a very clear shot of the dash you can see screw holes and a cut in the lower part of the dash where it looks like the steering wheel was mounted previously. Left most one appears to maybe have been filled in with some thickened paint/epoxy?? So...

    1985 Grew 186

Right...but...on modern boats, at least in my experience, the plaque is somewhere its easily found. Walkthrough, dash, next to the shifter...somewhere a LEO can read it off and compare to actual people onboard. I didn't see anything obvious in that video that stood out and said..."Here I am (was)!".

    1985 Grew 186

IF you have epilepsy, you may not want to watch this... I don't see one in that video. Granted its dated but when the seller goes inside the boat, I don't see any remnants of one. Weird as it should have one...

    New member, old boat question.

Feasible...sure.... But...you'd have to pull off anything mounted on the transom to make the install easier. Then if you're going that far, might want to dress up/loom the wiring. Seems to be a never ending rabbit hole and I'm not sure the reward is there for all that work. Then there's the...

    Looking for cover

As I'm sure you've found, the only pre-made covers you're going to find online for immediate purchase are going to be travel/storage covers with straps/hems (rope) to hold the cover to a trailer. What you're looking for are custom bow and cockpit (tonneau) covers which as mentioned above are...

No Display on Fusion ms-ip600 and possible replacements?

I'd just replace the whole thing. I like RF units...as in Rockford Fosgate... And yes, these days there's almost always an app you load on your phone to control the head unit.

No Display on Fusion ms-ip600 and possible replacements?

This one? https://rapidradio.company.site/Fusion-MS-IP600-Marine-Stereo-for-iPod-p3533024 If so, looks like a button on top allows the face to fold down exposing mounting screws. Might give that a whirl. **Seems to show same here... https://manualsbrain.com/en/manuals/1303739/?page=5

    New member, old boat question.

The Shiada's are open engine compartments....big blocks, lots of chrome, headers, etc. Everything is seen in that "jewelry box" if you will. So attention was paid to everything. Your Scorpion has an enclosed/covered engine compartment that will generally be seen when doing maintenance. Are you...

    1996 Stingray 556zp - Partial Floor Rot

You know that brace in the ski locker isn't supposed to be there right? Cause its in the way when you'd put your waterskis, wakeboards, whatnot in there. So that's another bandaid fix. I'd start looking at the boat very carefully as I'd wager you're about to find out there's more rot than...

    Help with Boat Info

Looks like the reg numbers start 2H....that's not US based. Going off the fins, probably late 50's early 60's. Can look at fiberglassics.com to see if you find something that comes close. Given how many boat manufacturers came & went during that time, some of which records were lost to the...

I am updating my live well.....

The epoxy I listed above IS used in the aquarium business. It IS fish safe. Many, many Youtube videos out there from pros and amateurs alike using the same material to line their custom built aquariums. They're keeping $$$$($) fish in there - certainly fine for what, $40 bait fish? Pick a color...

Concerned about Hull Config / Cramped Engine Bay

Most manufacturers are switching from I/O's to Outboards for trailerable boats. For some, its their only offering in the 18-23' class. With the lower center of gravity, the I/O's tend to deal with waves a bit better, at least in my experience. However, in terms of ease of maintenance, its hard...

BRP reveals a new style of outboard, Rotax powered, horizontal crankshaft....

I'm calling it vaporware for now until there's an actual review...or find one on a showroom floor to lay hands on. Only thing we've seen is BRP's PR machine pumping out videos for the 3 brands that will initially be built with the new rotax engine....yeah, yeah, reworked Evinrude G2.

I am updating my live well.....

BUT....it's not fish safe. It's going in a livewell that's going to be used as one. OP needs something non-toxic to fish. Gotta look in the Pond/Aquarium supplies for that.

    1979 Glastron Carlson CV-23 restoration

Ohh where's your sense of adventure? Loose the sunpad, toss a massive supercharger up through there along with a bunch of exhaust pipes. Let the other boaters know you don't give a darn about their tree hugging by announcing your presence on the lake with loads of V8 goodness :ROFLMAO...

Where Do I Get Marine Quality Non-Slip Strips?

That's metal...I'd just use some roll on bedliner and be done with it. Or aersol cans...your call. Want a contrasting color other than black, look at Durabak as they sell it in small quantities.

Towing a boat with 9ft beam...

I've often been told that the local LEO's won't know the difference between 8'6" and 9' wide...or be that obvious that they'll pull you over. I'd be more concerned with height than anything. That being said, I wouldn't personally risk it cause with my luck, I'll be that guy constantly donating...

What are the best ST225/75R/15 boat tires?

Local tire shop had PowerKing Trailer King RST available in a E load rating. Got 3 - 2 main and 1 spare. Had em for the season and so far no issues. I replace the tires every 3-5 years, even if they don't look like they need it.
