Hi,

Have a 1985 grew 186 that does not have a capacity label or complaince notice. It has not had one since we purchased the boat. Any idea how I can find this information?

I also think it’s not illegal that we don’t have one, but can you help to confirm? From Canada and the boat is roughly 19.5’ - 20’ …

IF you have epilepsy, you may not want to watch this...

I don't see one in that video. Granted its dated but when the seller goes inside the boat, I don't see any remnants of one. Weird as it should have one...

Fancy carpet and upholstery hides a lot of things.------I would not venture out in a " GREW " without inspecting the floatation foam under the floor.---

Right...but...on modern boats, at least in my experience, the plaque is somewhere its easily found. Walkthrough, dash, next to the shifter...somewhere a LEO can read it off and compare to actual people onboard. I didn't see anything obvious in that video that stood out and said..."Here I am (was)!".

Wait, sorry I am a bit confused…

The hull seems to be in good shape and the flooring is solid. Is there something else we should be concerned with? I understand it’s an old boat but everything seems in good standing…

Yea and what doesn’t make sense is they were building boats for sooo many years but I cannot find ANYTHING about the specifications online.

I know of quite a few " GREW " boats that had water logged foam.------I just drive by chuckling when I see one at the end of a driveway.
