Completed fairing so far 2x on sides and rear of transom. Finished with wet sanding this morning. Took a chance and decided to apply Rustoleum clean metal primer Woodonglass . I did 2 coats and will let it dry.
weather is unpredictable. Turned out pretty darn nice. Not a major issues with profile of finish at all. Some pin holes but an easy fix.
Anyone have a quick dry epoxy base fix for the pins holes? Fairing takes a long time to cure.
back to the deck. Glad the rain is holding off.

Looking very nice Kc !
I have filled pin holes just using the primer , preferably high build , with a squeegee.

We'll see major storm just blew thru. Going out to hope it was dry enough to take the rain.

If your using the rusto just use there hb .. Are you using rusto for the finish paint ?
Not advised to put epoxy filler over primer I think . You would need to take the primer back down to glass .
‘I think PPG has a high build epoxy primer IIRC . Or maybe it polyurethane.... I’d have to check ..

For finish paint I will be using WOG's formula but using Kirby's Paints. Large selection of colors to work with. I used them on my transom and am very pleased. :D
So I now will clean up the boat and begin prepping the floor for glass. I'll have plenty of time and sure will have more pin holes to contend with.
Their are only a few pinholes. I learnt a trick. After your final sanding, roll a coat of resin. Prior to primer wet sand 220,dry and prime. fyi.

If you have the pin holes after your prime coat . Use the same primer and squeegee it into the holes . If the holes are deep it may take a couple coats . Sand it out and see if that helps . WOG taught me that trick years ago ...

Thanks Sam,
You are spot on with that concept. Their are so many tricks to learn. :D
I went back out this morning and did the cleansing. Getting ready to fair, fill, sand and glass. Since I got past the deck/gunnels/flush deck I don't really see the glassing of the deck being an issue. Other than the usual fill, sand, perfections, do again and glass.
