Hay Guys !!!

Well I tried today, took the camera and got the video and some still also, and got it home and every thing showed up PINK ?????? @$R#$#$$% man it was a great day !!! 11 hours on the water , spent the frist half out there fishing. lake Napessing , we only got about 15 ok size bluegill, but it was a great day, then the kids wanted to go tubing , so we went to holloway, Napessing it petty weedie , so I didnt feel safe , so it was only 10 miles or so !!! man callie did a couple whip out , that we gave 10's to !!! hahaha

SO sorry guys I tried !!! next time out I will take the good camera !!! John

OHH YEA Rick , its really cool , last time out we stopped at a gas station , there were two guys there , they both asked about her, then when we were leaving town there was this family walking , and we were turning the corner and we heard him say as his head is watching the boat go bye, [ COOL BOAT ] lol

And the best part is she is running great !!! Knock on wood !!!!!! John

Ok guys I been trying how to show you guys how to sew the seats , well I was working on it yesterday and last night I got to thinking theres got to be some thing on line that can show better and know what he ot she is talking about !! so heres just one , I typed in sewing boat seats and there was a few that came up , and this one i looked at has a lot of what my uncle used !! so hope this helps !!!

Johnny, you posted on my thread that your paint wasnt holding up well. Whats the scoop man? Let us know! I mean if yours isnt holding up well with the awesome prep work you put in then it HAS to be the paint. Come on, dont leave me hanging.

Ha! I get to do all that after I get the inside done! The sides of my hull are too flimsy to flip the hull with the cap off, so I'm going to do that after I get the glass work done....I think.

Dude, are you gonna flip it with a construction crane or helicopter? That beast is gonna be heavy! That is the only thing stopping me from painting mine, I dont want to try to flip it, that and John is telling me that the rustoleum isnt holding up and I dont want to use a high dollar paint due to the fact that my paint isnt in bad shape. GOod luck with your flip! Where protection!

It's a thousand pounds to flip, I'm not sure if I'm going to, I may just end up tilting it and painting one half, and then tilting it to paint the other half of the bottom.

OHHH MAN Guys sorry , yesterday was last day of vacation . so we to the lake tubing !!

I will get the pics up tonight !!

The paint, in the front where the rope is , it wore really quick !! and i did end up beaching her before getting the keel guard and that needs to be painted !! I am just not really happy with the paint durability!!!

Now for the really bad news , think my motor DIED last night !! had to get towed in !! she didnt sound good when she died !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John

what a shame...if there is anything that I can do to help, as I have torn my 74 1500 down to the block and rebuilt the rest, let me know. I also have a spare 1150 of the same era so if there are any parts that are interchangable that you may need let me know. God, why is it that those of us that take the most pride and time doing good work are rewarded with crappy situations? I mean hell there are women out there with cars that have 67,000 miles on an oil change that get their cars to last forever and guys with rotten boats that have never been winterized that cant kill their boats for nothin!

Yea your so right there chris !!!! Think that was my last ride for the summer !! went out there after work and i got her to turn about a 1/8 of a turn and she locked up again !! it sounded like something was grinding !!!#$$##%%%%##%$##

I am going to take the lower end off and see what the impeller looks like , thats the only thing i think that could have caused it !! we went threw and bunch of weeds and sand we hit last week !!!

Ah that bites John! There's a guy up the street I think selling his boat with 115hp merc with T n T for 700 bucks...wish I had the cash. I'd take the boat and motor off his hands for 500 bucks and let him sell the trailer for the other 200 if I had the money! His ad says the motor runs great....

Well, if it makes ya feel better, I got my two outboard stringers cut and shaped. A little bit more tweaking, some coats of finish and I can bed them in the boat and glass them in....I'm hoping for this weekend, if I can get the stringers dried out as it rained last night on them in the boat....stupid! Huge drought for the summer, and when I actually decide to get some real work done, it rains everytime I get a raw piece of wood fit in the boat!

John, yours is a 1250 right? Also, you dont need to take the bottom end apart, just pull an inspection port and or pull a plug and take a peek with a flashlight and mirror. If it locked up you will be able to see if it is totally lost through there.
