Re: pic of work so far

THanks for documenting your work. I have a similar boat (not a glasstron) and this thread is inspirational. I hope mine looks half as good when I finishe with her.

Nice boat you have there!!

40mph is nothing to sneeze at! Of course, it's always those little details that you overlook that put a monkey wrench in your fun! :D At least it was something simple. You can kick yourself over it, but at least you aren't dead in the water ( or out ) because of it for the season.

Looking forward to seeing if that picture I photoshopped looks as good as the real thing out there :p

Johnny, I cant wait to get to the point that you are at now! You have done such a great job, words really escape me... Your whole boat is a true work of art. Dont sweat all the pressure from these guys trying to push you to get on the water. Just slow down and make sure everything is correct before you shove off the dock. Just dont go all obsessive compulsive on us. Give everything the once over and usually that is enough.

On a side note, I have gotten quite a bit done on mine. Stop by and check it out and let me know what you think!

oh and by the way.....i saw a neat thing that you might be able yo use.....

a guy built a plexi glass divider between the open bow and the main area.....it just slipped in place and kept the wind out. it also just stored under the front cushion.....cost about 5 bux and stopped all the wind when the walk thru was not in use.

ill check back later.....its been crazy busy before the july long weekend

Good deal John, no sweat. Keep me posted on the anchor locker. Are you planning to put in the obvious spot? Front of bow seats dead center? How are you coming on the upholstery video walk through?

Re: pic of work so far

I spent the last week and change up in canada fishing the french river..SO ..Sorry for the delayed reply.. She looks great! The Thrill of a finished project!

only thing is my buddy just got a warning because his reg stickers did not contrast with the gel coat he placed them on.. he had blue stickers on a black gel coat.. the cg said you cant see them and gave him a week to replace them with white or yellow... you get the idea..

in the photo it looks like you are in the same boat but could be completely just the photo... are they that strict up there?

fishing was awesome.. 68 fish for our 2 man team.. the winning boat had 74.
we caught northern pike, small mouth, walleye(pickerel), and musky.
the winner for longest was 43 inches.. great weather in the 80s that week.
