We headed in around 4:30-5:00 pm on Sunday. The guys at Long Level Marina said they still had 140 boats out in the water.

All the lots at the public ramps were filled. Out in the open water it was not bad at all. The jet fleas were anoying since they think the have seperate rules than the regular boaters. Overall a great day....we are taking a break this weekend but will be out next weekend.

I spent the day with a buddy on lake frederick (goldsboro) he has a tri-haul house boat that sank at the dock monday evening in the storms,, the marina said they had 4' swells....the waves went over his stern and his pumps failed partialy sinking his boat....it took all day for divers and salvage to get it on a trailer... all the stuff inside is ruined....the marina sprayed some stuff on the connections ( he has a merc outboard 45) no water in cylinders it fired right up, the engine was totaly submerged!!!!!! he should be back on the water in a few weeks after repairing the interior damage......

We will be out on lake clarke sat morning as long as the chance of rain dont increase.

Weather permitting....hitting Goldsboro this evening with my old man in the little tinny for fishing. Should be a little more water in there now! Maybe I'll hit Clarke also on Saturday. Have to see if either of my family members feel like joining me.

Now it is saying 9:00.
I know it is going to change. I also know that now matter what the weather says it is going to storm when I hit the water.

The weather looks good for today... were packing things now and should be on the river by 9-9:30. We plan on pulling out of the river by 5:30pm.

We made it out on saturday. We got to lock 2 around 10am there was only 6 trailers in the lot....I found that kinda weird.... we did some tubing and cruising then hung out and swam at the tip of the 3 northern islands... there appeared to be only 15 boats at the sandbar at 1pm.... For the 1st time we did not tie up at the sandbar we just stayed away from the hustle, it was kinda nice...water temp was 82 merky water with alot of debris fields 2 miles north of the dam that run from the west to the east shore. (some big chunks in there be careful).....

this saturday evening me my dad and brother are going out to do our yearly overnight catfish trip on lake clarke, I cant wait. should be in by 6pm out by 8 am.

still planing on heading out around 5 with dad for some overnight fishing.....Ill give details in the morning..
