Right back at ya!

What he said!!
I took a couple picts of Jeremy and Brandon. When I figure out again how to post picts, I will. Sometime I would like to get a pict or video of my boat going on the water.

I thought about trying to get some video of you guys running up and down on the water on my cell phone but you were to far away. Scott posted a link of a "Poker Run" on the upper bay towards the fall where a helicopter is out and takes pictures of all the boats running. I might try and make it to that for that exact reason, you should think about coming down too!

Re: Lower Susquehanna

I can only speak of the one I bought. I love it because it is like 3 radios in one. It is an FRS radio so I can call back to land when camping. Its a VFH when I am on the water. When this fish aint biting and I am just sitting back I put on the FM and listen to some tunes. Oh and you can get the score of the baseball game all on one radio.

The drawl back. It doesnt float.

The other feature I like you get a rechargable battery and also one that you can load up with AAA batteries incase you forget to charge the radio you can stop at a store and get some batteries if the chargeable goes dead.

Good luck hope this helps

Hey John - Wish that I could have made it out tonight but wasn't able to. So, how did it go out there? Rigging work out ok for you?

You know, the 4th is going to be here before you know it! ;)

I hope you went out. It was a beautiful night for it! Windy though. Maybe too windy. I was stuck at the in-laws.

Re: Lower Susquehanna

we were out last night till about 7:30. The wind had the water a bit choppy but it was still pretty nice. Caught a couple of catfish. I'm still amazed that the cats will hit the crankbaits. I had a 20" cat just about take the rod out of my hand it hit so hard. I still haven't found any bass yet but catching cats is better than nothing. I think we're heading down again this afternoon after work. Not sure about the weekend yet. Possibly Sunday afternoon/evening.

Re: Lower Susquehanna

It was very nice but a little choppy. Went down towards the dam where it wasn't as bad. Tried out the tube. Worked well. Still trying to figure out the best way to hook it up. I hooked a wye to the loops that I use to strap the boat on the trailer, then to the tow rope. A lot of water spray from the rope. What does anyone use to actually hook with? What kind of hooks? The hooks that are on the Y are just spring loaded hooks.

John,
What kind of tube do you have? We are looking at them but have no idea what would be best go get? I got a ski tow bar when I bought the boat so hopefully I won't have some of these problems to work out. (I'm sure there will be others lol )

Nothing fancy for first tube. Kids got it for me for Christmas.

Re: Lower Susquehanna

We just got back from Oc md from our week and a half vacation, the weather wasnt bad this year we got a chance to actually do stuff LOL. We did alot of surf fishing and went to the inlet a few times to. I caught a few dogfish (smooth sand sharks) flounder, king fish. The trigger fish were hitting like crazy though. I got stung in the hand by a stingray that was the worst 6 hours of pain I have ever had, nasty nasty stuff my hand is still swelled a little. When I caught it I told everybody to stay back because they sting then guess what happened:eek: and that was the first night we were there LOL.

I wish we could of taken the boat but the slip prices we found were around $700-1000 for the 10 days we were there, and for that $$ it was not worth it unless you sleep on the boat, and there is no way Im parking my boat n trailer in one of those city lots, thats asking for problems, While im on vacation I dont want to stress out worrying that someone is stripping my boat down while I sleep. Acording to one of the locals bad things happen there frequently. Heck when you drive past the city lot there is boats with no drives on them and trailers with no tires, looks more like a salvage yard than a parking lot lol. One year we might get a place with a slip, but the place we stay at every year we get a heck of a deal.

today on the river is a no go too many things to catch up on around the house, the pool is green grass is high etc.. Next weekend (sat) we will be out but im sure it will rain hahah.
