August 27 Friday Evening Lake Clarke Raft-up!

August 27 Friday Evening Lake Clarke Raft-up!

I think it would be cool if we could get a Friday evening raft up going at Lake Clarke. I'm going on vacation the end of next week so the first Friday I could do it would be Aug. 27. Anyone interested?

I would be into that. Just so you guys know, we are also getting one together for the upper bay on the 21st of this month. Could be a good excuse to come check it out. There are lots of launches and enough of us around that we can all help each other out easily. EZ - looks like you will be on vacation, maybe you should swing in on your way home! Or better yet, bring the boat from OCMD to North East MD!

We had a nice Friday evening on Lake Clarke. Hardly anyone was out. The best part was it didn't storm.:p

MAAAAAAAAAN,
wanting to get out again but so much going on. I got maybe a time or 2 at lake clarke before the raystown boating trip on the 27th. Then my boating season will be over"maybe", I have a buch of things to do to the boat/trailer before hunting season and the winter layup. Boy did this summer fly by.

Re: Lower Susquehanna

Im having trouble finding someone local too. A bunch online out of state guys but thats it. I put a new prop on mid summer last year and kinda dinged up the edges in september trying to trailer my boat at low tide on the bush river. Heck its hard to even find a local marine dealer/shop any more they are dropping like flies, I know of 5 places that have gone out of buisness locally since october. And the one that is left close to me charges $130 an hour 90 if you bought your boat there... LOL

Re: Lower Susquehanna

we did our last outing for the year yesterday we had a good time water was cold though 67 deg., The weather was good and we basicly had the lake to ourselves. No major issues with the boat for the year other than finding a tiny oil spot in the builge yeaterday. Gotta find out whats going on there and winterize in the next week or 2. Hunting season starts on Sat (oct 2) so that will keep me intertained till mid december.;). If all goes as planned we will have a "new to us boat" on the chesapeake in the sping. The wife agreed with me when I said we need a bigger boat, I wont argue with THAT. LOL

Indeed. I'll be bringing the Starcraft home from storage soon (as soon as I finish a painting project) to do some upgrades. Might hit Goldsboro in my dad's little boat before that.

Re: Lower Susquehanna

Hello all,
back for another year of boating after this long long winter, It might be a late start this year havent pulled the cover yet might be a few more weeks before I can even start getting her ready, all this rain has me way behind on my honey do list around the house and this seems to be the year for mechanical issues on my POV's that seem to be using up most of my weekend time,. I gota find time to drop the fuel tank on my durango and install a new fuel pump in the next weeks, then I can start working on the minor issues I want to get done on the boat.

Im looking at a end of May test run "if the boat starts" then start my boating season mid june due to going down to SC for a buisness trip mid may for a week and my brothers weding begining of june and a vacation at the end of the first week of june,,,, we will see,

hope all of you survived the winter and all is good.....gotta go hide easter eggs for the kids now, talk to all soon,
Denny
