Re: hull extension in progress with picks

hi chrysler !

work on the boat is getting ready to begin....we have had really good weather for a canadian winter.....the boat is currently asleep with blankets....

but ill be getting out the cardboard and making templates for the designing of the interior.....

im still a little stuck on the exact color location scheme.......gotta learn how to play with photo shop or ms paint.

i will be detailing how i am designing the interior with lots of pics and posting them here.....

so...the final phase will start soon !

Yep, what that SOB said ^^^^ :p:D:eek::facepalm: <---- My elven posse

They are available 24/7 if you need any help corralling the Corona's!

Have a great holiday season, we're all looking forward to an interior layout/mockup/rendering. How's about you talk archbuilder into loaning you his Interior Specialist. He's a bit further back on the pontoon build then you are on this stretch limo...

Hmm is 5000 post thread doable before 2011 wraps up? Ok, 4500 then? Goals my friend, we all need goals! Mine is to get mine floorless & stripped in 2011.

By the way arch brought me some good karma the other day & we are sneaking up on a shorty 650:D. That way my posse can help with the motor work!;)

I haven't posted because your restore has both inspired and helped me...but it also intimidates and amazes me as well....as such I feel like I can add nothing useful to your thread...but since you need a few more to hit 4500, that I can chip in for!

judge....drop in any time..

But please don't be intimidated by this thread. The point of this thread is that you can do it !

The whole reason I documented it, was because at the beginning,,, I knew I needed help from the iboats community. But i knew that it could be done so I wanted to show how.

I know this thread gets kinda technical, but the info posted here will get you thru anything you will run into while building a boat. (LOL....except building a trailer.....I go to your thread for that).

the info that the other posters put on here is absolutely fantastic, every thing from turbo charging to H.U.D. dashboard and instrument display.

of course.....it will show how to glass. every step and bit of info you need......Imho...It is the best reference on general boat building on the site.

By the time im done....it will be even better. !

so dont be intimidated by its size......that just means there is tons of info in here for you.
but of course.....if you have a specific question on anything...just pm me.... lol

cheers all
Merry Christmas

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

lol, I didn't mean I was intimidated to read it...I have it bookmarked on pages I need to reference,,,I meant I was intimidated to post because I don't have anything truly useful to add...but really it was just a setup to add a post to your goal lol! Thanks for the plug on the trailer, hopefully I can get to work on the boat soon, just weather is not optimal for glassing, I jumped on the trailer first because I was low on funds and did that for around 200 bucks or so, and it kept me busy!

Hi Vince.

I stretched it too !

but the trailer is really old and needs more work now.....new bearings, new brakes....and i want to re do the bunk system and paint it.
so im torn between a new one or fixing up the old one........

the pics of the trailer are in the thread......just between my first and second shop.

Hey OOps. finally had a enough time to sit down and search through your thread a bit! Great job on the extention of the hull and I really like the windows. Looks like you got a nice clean wake off the back of her to. Good luck with the interior design and install. Happy Holidays

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

Oops, first time to post on your thread. Found it a while back and have been following your progress with the hull extension , (took me 5 days of off and on reading) like everyone else on here i'm amazed what CAN be done if you put your mind , money, and intense labor into it . I know this is a boat that is being built from the HEART ! ! I like a lot of other people are doing things to our boats that we never would have done without your generous kindness to show us how it's done .
Merry Christmas and keep up the excellent work.
(oh yea drink a Corona for me ... )

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

Hydraulic? or electric? I found a new one for ours due to a bunch of rot and a really bad bent rail- didn't see that one til I was takin some photos of what I was gettin into, and well, it just doesn't look good for that trailer right now. So we spent the 800 bucks for a dually and w hydraulic brakes. My wife bought all of us life vests and me ( the smart@## she is ) made me a pair of concrete shoes n gave em to me for a gag gift for xmas. I love her sense of humor all 5'2 of it. :D
