by the way......i just wanted to keep you guys up on our local hockey team.....

our team is currently playing the calgary hitmen for the WHL title. calgary is a juggernaught that had only lost 3 games at home all season....(one of those games to us.).....we beat them twice at home in this series and shut them out in game three back here in kelowna.......so we are up 3 games to 0......tha next game is tonight, im taking a broom.

if the rockets win this series...(and it seams likely that they will)....that means we are off to the memorial cup.

if we can win that.....(our league is well known as the toughest in canada) two of the players....(tyler meyers and jamie benn will win both world jouniors gold and the memorial cup in the same year.

only a handfull of players have ever done that. sidney crosby didnt.....i dont think wayne gretzsky did, nor mario lemux.

i think the only one that i can remember...(but there is more).....was erik lindross

so its a real honor for these kids......i hope they go all the way!

I can't believe what your team has done. Killing the Sharks was a big deal (although the Sharks seem to always underwhelm in the playoffs) and taking it to the Wings is great.

Here's hoping the Nucks can make short work of the Hawks and the Wings/Ducks turns into a 7 game brawl.

Be cool for both the Rockets and the Nucks to make the finals.

OHHHH MAn game 2 was anybodys game ,3 ot's, game 3 we just werent playing good !!! we will see tonight !!!!!!!! even my wife said theres Duck for Dinner !!!!!!!! And the Refs gave them the last game when they took that last goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonder How much the ducks are paying the Refs They way they been calling the game ????LOL John

Man, that sucks about the Gel coat and release agent, but at least you have something to work with...I mean, look at what you did to the hull...you can do anything with that boat Ward, you've got the ambition.

I'm 2 days short on work on the boat due to rain, and then a night of planning for camping with my buddy over Memorial day weekend. Of course, the forecast here is areas of rain...so who knows how much I can get done...I really wish I had purchased a temporary shelter to put over the boat

You're lucky... in Brooklyn Park no temporary shelters or accessory structures of any kind are allowed that are not A) Permanently constructed and B) match the house in color and style. It's like living in an HOA neighborhood with lower property values.

Meh, they don't like them up here either, but I think my neighbors would be less likely to complain if I told them it was a tent to trap the glass dust I would otherwise be spreading throughout the neighborhood if the winds were right . Temporary shelters are TEMPORARY! They only last for a few years and then the sun breaks down the cover, unless you buy an expensive one.

The problem is that it's the idiots out there that would abuse the use of them that ruin it for everyone else.

Hi All,

I know that we are supposed to be careful while "PWI" (Posting While Impaired) so I will keep this short to aviod rambling!

I stopped by the shop on the way home and proceeded to have a couple of pops with the man. He is doing well even in the face of losses in the "good ol game"....
The boat is looking awesome and is so close to completion that you can imagine her on the water! I can't wait to see this work of art on the water (or above it doing 55 mph (88.51 kmh)!)

I was even lucky enough to meet Oops Sr. tonight! Cool family in all! Oops is close to getting this baby in the water but he still has a lot of work to do so a word of encouragement from us all will do him well.

My words are:
I hope that I can be "chase boat" in June but I really hope that trials are done before that so that we can just raft up and have a couple

Keep it up, you are sooooo close!!!!!

heh heh heh.....tonights the night......game 6 here.....if they dont do it tonight here.....they are done.......and we didnt look too good in the last two games....but we will win it tonight........they are too good to loose three straight.


ok......update.....as yar just said we had a great visit last night/day....lol
i had to run though, as my mother went in for emergency surgery.....sh seemed to coime out fine.....ill see today.

as far as the boat....yes it is getting very close.....just about all the parts are there and the boat looks like a boat......

after the benches were fabricated out of glass ....i had allways wanted a new flowing arm console.....somthing that came down from the dash and also a place to put my beer....as well as a support for the new shifter.

the porblem is that there is a ton of 90 degree corners!

i cut out templates from cardboard. and using the foam scabbed from construction sites.....i cut and shaved them into the shape i wanted.

i then used foam glue and my "paperweights" to hold them to the cardboard.

the consoles were then sanded into the final shape, the edges were rounded slightly
these shapes were then taped to the cardboard

wax paper was then added to keep the glass off the cardboard.

a first layer of glass was added to the cardboard and console to tab the console into place

the two of them are starting to be fabricated

this particular segment is really intresting because of the sharp 90 degree corners that needed to be glassed over.....there is a way to do it with out air!

ill have more on that next update.....

well kinda on the next update!.

got a few hours on her this after noon.......im currently fairing the cap extension.......what a pain...! ....but its coming.

the dash is tabbed in and being faired as well. (ill have pics on the dash construction just after i finish with the side arm consoles series).

we are getting ready for the motor instllation....(i have to pull it from the truck and marinize it first) and im still waiting on the shift and sterring cables to come in.....but that is one week away.....

i hope to have the farring done by sunday night. then its the motor phase!.

our team is just about to play game 6 so im off to the arena......if we win tonight....its a trip to the memorial cup!....if we loose....its off to calgary for game 7....(and that doesnt look good).....so its do or die tonight !

Boy, you can almost taste that memorial cup ,AND the sea trials...can't ya Ward?

I'm tasting fiberglass...my dust mask just isn't cutting it with this fuzzy caterpillar crawling across my face...I might just have to cut it off...been coughing a little too much after the grinding session tonight.

I'm telling you all now, the pure amount of grinder work Ward did on this boat is a monument unto itself. The major grinding I'm doing on my glastron is MINOR compared to what this fella here put himself through.

Ward, you da man! ( oh, and flap discs are 20x easier to grind with than a regular grinding wheel...found that out tonight. I'd rather pay for the flappers than fight the wheel ).
