zach that looks good. I think I'll definitely be using that idea as the rubber around my cables is cracked and looks like crap. Were you able to fit the red power plug through there or did you slit the tubing?

that stuff was really small. so i had to do some adjusting and a lot of elbow grease and help from my dad but we got it... jserb heres the pipe from the link above.

Thanks Z, i just bought some of it yesterday!!! as for updates and photos everyone....i am going into paint Sat and i am just trying to get everything ready to go, no real pics needed, you've seen all the work iv done i am just sanding little items here and there, it really dosent look very different from the last photos i posted. We will be taking her out of the garage on Thursday, so ill post some photos of the 10 + men i will have over to push it out. Then Friday i am putting it on the trailer and i will post photos then as well! Sat i get the motors back from my mechanic,( he was cool enough to allow me to store them at his shop since i had no room in the garage with the boat in it. So i will post photos of that too!! Till Thursday night c ya !!!

You should take video of getting that boat out of the garage and make a time lapse video out of it to share...it'd be something to see!

Time lapse video can be done simply by editing the video. It essentially removes "x" number of frames ( every 3rd, or 4th or... )

I'm not a real hotshot on video editing because my computer is too slow and clogged up, but my wifes is pretty quick. I believe I did the video of me lowering the cap on my boat in Windows Movie Maker. What I did was shoot three separate videos so that I would have smaller files to work with, and then combined them into the final product.

The hardest thing I had was getting the file size and quality to a reasonable level. That comes in the file type ( compression ) used.

oh man oh man oh man....

i am AO GLAD i did what you guys said and took lots of photos and VIDEO of this baby coming out of the garage. I have photos and like 3 video of stages of us pulling it out, and itll give you all a behind the sceens look at how we pulled this stunt off. You'll see the crazyness, the struggling of us pushing by hand, the scary cracking and craying of the little wood cart that she sits on, i swear these video's make you feel the nervs as it rolled out of the garage!


When we were pushing the cart began to contort and twist. The CHEAP plastic casters from home sucko were breaking, and we had to jack up the one side to get her out. It was a VERY tight fit, a VERY slow move,THE SCREAMING AND CLOSE CALLS, ALL WELL WORTH IT !!!!

I will work on posting the video and photos tomorrow, i dont have my data transfure cord with me. The plan is to get her off the cart and on the trailer tomorrow, then Sat in for paint. Either way come sunday your all gonna have some fun viewing!!! Keep checking in on me, i will see what i can get posted tomorrow!

Well here you guys go! The links are in order of how the boat left the garage. Can anyone take a guess which one is me?? It just fit port to starb with about 4 inchs on either side. Height wise it cleared within an inch, that poor cart we made 8 months ago has been threw a lot and was finally starting to give way? But it held and now its outside!!!! To push it in was much harder cuz we couldn?t use the car and the garage has a slight 2% slope and we had to push it ?up hill? to get it in. The other issue was, we made the boat longer in the garage and I wasn?t exactly sure if it was really going to make it out of the garage, we added the bracket to the back and it extended the boat 2.5 ft, but as you can see we just cleared it. In the first Video you?ll here my wife yelling to stop, basically as we were pushing on the one side of the boat, the cart started to twist and began looking very unsturdy. So we put jacks on that side to help support the weight, that?s that screeching sound you hear the remained videos as it moves out of the garage, it?s the jacks. Let me know what you all think??told ya it wasn?t all done with smoke and mirrors! ;-)


As for tonight and tomorrow, I am getting it on the trailer tonight with jacks and jack stands (nothing too crazy) and then taking it for paint tomorrow. After we drop it off at paint we are going to go get the motors and bring them home!!! So I will take photos of all of these process, Sunday will be a good day for photo viewing, you should be able to see the big pic of everything.....Man things are coming together!!!! Id love to hear your thoughts guys!

2. Is a before shot of how everything was packed in the garage, two modle T's a 30ft boat and at one time two cars!

3. Is the modle T's after we rolled them out

4. is the wife shading the "scarab sport" logo so when we take it off we can take it to a letter guy and he can reproduce it

5. is the garage after the boat left!

John- Yes I got the motors and I took some photos of them and the boat as it left the house for the first time in 8 months!!! I rode in the boat as my buddy pulled it down the road, (HEY IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER GOT TO SIT IN IT MOVING!) I tell ya what, we topped out at 30mph and it felt fast, I cant wait to see what 60 feels like!!

Anyway I will post photos of her on the trailer, the motors, and what it looks like in the paint shop with primer on it!!
