Sorry to hear that boat didn't workout, but but you have to pick and chose. The right one will come along!

I know. If anyone runs across a good cvx 20 that needs resto, let me know. I am willing to drive a couple hundred miles for it, and I am in the Dallas area. Being complete is really important.

I think I might know where there is an outboard, have any interest in it? I will be close by where it is tomorrow, I'm not sure if its a CVX, haven't looked at it very closely.

Good to see you looking for a classic Glastron again Jay! Love the CVX-20 Jet's! (Although, the ones without a windshield always look a bit incomplete to me...)

Looks like there are a few around! There is a CV-19 in Houston that needs a motor, but is complete & unmolested if you like the CV-19's...its set up for a 454 if memory serves.

Here is one for you Jay, maybe a little to far for you but he only wants a grand for it.

http://knoxville.craigslist.org/boa/2691883803.html

That is a good candidate, but a little far

First one I am having a hard time getting the guy to call me back, and the second was the pile that I saw yesterday. Plus no title.

Not really into the OB. I want a BB jet :D

Can you PM me the info on this boat? I am interested.

I sure hope you find one to restore. This is one of my all time favorite boats. I would love to see one back to her Bee - U - Tee - Ful self, and you and your dad are two fellas that could do the job right.

Jay,
I'm not sure if you have seen this thread (probably not, because its hidden of all places within a 16' starcraft tinny thread, but I thought this would interest you, given your desire to build a rocket boat as a next project).

See post #22 (youtube clip) for the turbine powered jet in action...

Have you checked classicglastron.com? They have a classified section and I have seen several jets for sale.

Hi Jay, not sure if I am in the right forum for this ....I have to inspect my trailer and in doing so am looking for a design or set of ideas to fab something so I can separate the boat from the trailer, so it can be safe and not have worries about getting in and out of it while doing work on it at different times? I already have had to cut and weld several sections on the trailer today, and hoping to finish what I can see right now, and the rest after I get the boat off of it . Happy Holidays. Vince

I loved watching the videos for the restore of your boat. This has me thinking of doing my bass boat. I have a 86 Skeeter Starfire 175 and I know that my stringers are shot and it will probably need a transom also. I saw that you said that you found someone
local to get your fiberglass material from and where did you get the 2 part foam. I'm try to see about what its going to cost me to do my boat. also this is my first time on here so if I'm going to do my boat I'll post some pics on here also to let you see how its going and to get advice also from new friends. So any info material would be appreciated

You NEED that boat Jay! I love it! AND, after you buy it, fix it all up, then get tired of it, I'll buy it! I can afford to come get in dallas, but Chicago is a bit far for me!

Chicago is kind of far away but the thing looks really close. We could probably figure out a chain of custody for all of his fans here to get together & take turns towing 100-200 miles in there area to the next member until it go to Jay. Looks clean. Thought the ads were neat if nothing else. Fun to spend someone else $$$

Now that is a nice boat. At 944 miles, it is a little far with the work load that I have right now. Work has been insane as of late, and I have not had much time to spend on the boards lately. That is such and awesome boat though!!

What is amazing to me is how original it is - someone took very good care of it. Very cool boat
