Very nice! That totally changes the look of the boat but I like it!

The carpet is really nice looking, a bit pricey, but it makes all the difference in the world.

Looks great. That is real pricey though for sure. However if it is really heavy duty and you don't spill red wine on it, it should last a long long time.

Watched the video last night... It looks really, really good. Your boat looks like factory (better than) with upgrades.

What's the next project?

Good question about the project. I am actually talking to a guy about a 79 Glastron CVX-20 with a 460 and Berkley jet. Was running this July, but threw a rod. Boat is solid, but the interior and motor have to be rebuilt. I would restore it for sale for sure, as I am not getting rid of the Sea Ray. I was thinking about setting it up like a TV show and have episodes, but so many people have said they like my of the hip shooting style. So I need to think long and hard about this, as I am not sure I want another project right now.

I think I can safely (and selfishly) speak for the masses that enjoy watching your work when I say: DO IT, DO IT, DO IT....

Of course, the "Man vs. Boat" episodes on my thread are a complete spoof, but something like that might be killer in your hands... You have the mechanical skills and present well on camera.... I see a side business in your future: Home Theatre company with boat restore business/tv personality. Just my unsolicited .02 (I can't help it, I represent entrepreneurs for a living).

In all seriousness, I know you have a lot on your plate this past year, so lighting for a bit and enjoying your family and accomplishments on the Ray for a while might not be a bad plan either.

I sense the beginnings of a new reality cable show here. If people will watch guys putting motorcycles together I bet they'd watch Jay restoring boats.

you know, I have to ask...really? you know you just want another project to tinker with. even restored I dont see how you could make money on a 1979 jetboat. reason I say this? you over build which is expensive!! I can see it now. you'll go to pull up a seat to redo the interior and see a drop of wet wood on the screw.

two days later there'll be a video on here of you showing us the inside of the hull after you ripped it down to nothing :p

I have fun making these videos for everyone. I love the car shows on Power Block and I would like to craft it more after that.

Stackz- You would be right about most boats, but this is a very collectible boat. The CVX-20 is highly sought after in restored form and can fetch close to 10k if done right. At the very least I would make enough to cover my labor. Plus, I am a partner now on youtube and when someone clicks those adds I get a little bit of money. It is starting to add up, and that would really make it worth while to do another Kick Butt restore.

Jay, You did an awsome job on your boat. The tower does make it look complete.

I wish you would do another project, you have alot to offer to fellow boaters as far as your knowlege and skills.

I'd like to see you do an old woody, You could make some serios cash off that.

C'mon Jay... Anything you did would knock the socks off of "Ship Shape T.V." That guy is boring, but I can't help it, I still DVR the shows so I can watch them when I have free time. There is good info out there.

I like the carpet, but the price is wayyyy Steep... Is that stuff heavy enough to stay down at speed?
