Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy
BEEEEYOOOUUUUUTEEEEFULLLL Day....Hope you all had the same great weather we had here in Central Louisiana!
Woke the admiral up at 7:30 with the saw right out side her window....sorry hun....
Started out with fitting the main support for the fishing deck....Cut it out and thought it was 2" to narrow...so made another...when working with a curve (bow) a little trimming ends up being alot...snuck up on it the second time around...should have listened to that voice in my head...measure twice...cut once...ended up being like 1/4" longer than the first one...
After I got the piece shaped...I swear I climbed in and out of the boat a hundred times...started a dry run fitting all the parts...seen I needed to chamfer a few spots...
Then I got started on the step...wanted to have all the glassing parts ready at the same time...but wanted as much warm weather as I could get...glued in some blocks to hold it all together before glassing...
Radiused off all the corners...wish I had a router!....Oh well my course (80G) handmade block worked out well...took a regular block with 120 to smooth it out...
Propped up the front...then glassed all sides...got all the raduis' covered good...I think it turned out well...
got the main brace glassed on both sides...
put some blocks down on the deck to give me something to line all the parts up with...3M 5200 in all the holes...doubt I will glass these...unless you all think I should? ...blocks to lift the front brace off the deck before PB goes in...
More to come in next post....
