Assuming you mean either 5qt or 5gallon... 5 lbs of cabosil would probably be a 55 gallon drum lol

Guess I’ll go ahead and start tabbing the fully bedded stringers while i await the cabosil. Do i need to put a base layer of CSM down, or will two layers or 1708 be suffice?

Make 1 6" make the secondo 8". You want to overlap. I ran my tabbing 2x but also ran it across the hull. If the wood isn't glassed then run tabs full height to top of stringers etc.
Go getem FB!;)

I'm gonna ASSume you have already fully wetted out the wood and all edges. Give all a quick wipedown with acetone to clean. Sand off any glass nubs.

OH yea....post some pics.

Gotcha. Everything was wetted. Was planning to run the 1708 the height of the stringers and across the hull, then cap with CSM. This work? May be a few days. Started practice!

Finally finished fillets. Hour here and there is eternal. Hopefully Saturday i can sand and clean what’s done, build and install motor mounts, re-enforce the center line and install ski locker weep holes. Then i can start tabbing the stringers. Off to work. Picture day and jamboree tonight. Go Panthers!

Big win last night! 2-0. Motor mounts bedded today! Have a little more work to do on the fillets for them. Have to wait until next week. Then on to tabbing. Best part of working on the boat - no parents! 😂

Ski locker weep holes installed. PVC coupling cut in half to make mouse holes. Gives more available drainage space.

Yes sir. Wet it out before i installed it. Just 90 degrees here everyday. Got a nice golden glow to it! Got a little clean up to do and then i think I’m ready to tab it all in and cap. About out of resin though. More $ and no time. But, weirdly i enjoy it all!

So are you going to be doing 2 layers of 1708 tabbing and then one full wrap of 1708 or CSM? Coming out nice

Two layers of tabbing. Can’t make up my mind on the wrap. Should i use chop strand or 1708? Been a few weeks since I’ve worked on her. Job, life and kids have taken precedent. May be December before i get back to her.
