THis pic is looking at the back of the bulkhead through the key hole thats rear of the fuel tank, I need to route the fuel fill ,vent and feed lines through it. Does anyone see an issue with cutting holes on each side of the bulk head to run the lines through? Cut outs in red! would be slightly bigger than the hose diameter! what say you?

Ok! back at it after a short vacation! I'm getting ready to cut my floor in, how much gap between the floor plywood and the hull should I leave??? I realize I dont want it touching but how close is too close?? or is there such a thing? and before I install it is one layer of 1.5oz CSM on the bottom whats recommended?

Thanks WOG! hey Im going to do the firing strip thing on the outside stringer front to back and around the step down into the cuddy. Is it necessary to use stainless steel screws or can I use those coated deckmate screw and call it good? Im also going to use PL glue when I do it.

If you predrill and coat the holes and screws with the PL then you can use the deck screws and they'll outlast the boat.:D

So not coating them with 5200? you suggest PL? I'll be running a bead of PL the length of the firing strip! And prior to installing the firing strips Ill be coating them well with resin.

If you coat the strips with resin and the holes and the screws with resin you're good to go.;)

Firing strips are all in, and Im getting ready to cut, lay up, and install the floor! After the floor is in and foam is installed, what type of glass and how many layers should I use on the top side??

Ok then, tab the deck to the sides with a 10" strip of 1708 then apply 2 layers of 1.5 oz CSM running it up onto the 1708 and onto the sides. Put surfacing wax in the last layer of resin. Before laying the carpet scuff the deck with 80 grit, wipe it down with acetone then apply the carpet glue.;)

Silly question but how much overlap front to back should I use? and does it matter if I start in the front or the back?

Front to back??? Not sure I understand. When tabbing the deck with a 10" strip you lay 5" on the deck and 5" up on the sides of the hull.

Yes I understand that but the 1708 is only 50" wide and my boat floor is approx. 11' long so Ill need 2.64 pieces! I assume I'll have to over lap them a cpl inches front to back??? or can I just butt each piece to the next??
