Can anyone give me an approx liquid amout of 2 part foam for 1 cu.ft of area?? I can figure the rest if I know this amount. My foam says it expands 25-30x its liquid volume. And Im pouring tomorrow so we can figure on temps around 70-75 degrees in the boat! so I hope to get 100 expansion, or close to that!

A cubic foot is 1728 cubic inches divided by 30 for the liquid volume cubic inches equals 57.60. 57.60 cubic inches converted to us fluid oz is 31.917 us fluid oz. Divide by 2 for the 2 part foam and its 15.99oz, or 1 pint of each part a and part b. approximatley!!:joyous:

OK! gettin ready to put down the last 2 layers of csm on the deck, wondering about adding some plywood pedistal mounts where my seats will go, just for extra support. And Ive also seen some guys do it for their battery boxes also? Opinions please?????

Well the Dumb Okie thinks it's a GREAT idea and I personally would do it. I'd use Stainless T-Nuts on the bottom to secure the bases with as well. Let me know if you need more info on what I'm talking about. I think I have some drawings somewhere.

Nice job Lwarden, your persistence will pay off,...keep up the good work!

...not sure if you poured your foam yet,... but in my case the foam didnt expand as much as they claimed and the stuff gets costly. In large areas I opted to use the blue/pink rigid foam board found at HD, leave it a couple inches smaller, then foam around.

Will it be ok to lay my last 2 layers of csm @ 50 or so degrees? and if so what % should I mix the resin? Im itching to get this thing done.

need to get the hull, resin & cloth to above 60 & keep it above 60 until it cures. Halogen lamps, small electric/ceramic heater?

up to 2% MEKP

3M 5200 or 4200 marine sealant.

What couple of things are we talking about?

I re-made all the wood parts for the back of my boat, there are 2 (gussets)? that hold the back wall that hides the batteries, trimm tab pump, and trim pump. And also the 2 side pieces that hold the one end of the seats and the radio speakers, those all need to be fastened to the deck to hold them in place.

I'd predrill and then coat the holes and fasteners with Dollar store 5 min Epoxy.
