You're making great progress. That's a crazy number of rivets to replace. I did less than a dozen on my hull. Do you have a warm spot to work? That Gluvit likes warm aluminum to flow properly.
I am doing it in my garage. I am using a deisel heater I keep it a 75 for 72 hours for the epoxies and will for the paints too.
Ill crank it up to 90 when I do the foam. I know temp is important for these things.
I did discover a rivet in the back seam where the outter skin kinda chipped next to a rivet basically wallowing it out bad. Its an an area that would be hard to rerivet or put a patch so I pasted the 5200 in real good since there will be epoxy inside and out.
Part of the problem near the end was as I was hammering some rivets in heads were popping off of others. So I started smacking the hull with a rubber mallet to try to find as many that were going to do that as possible before I put the foam in.
I have spent 3 weekends doing Rivets. Luckily my girlfriend and her kids are enjoying working on it too or Id be screwed since I cant do rivets myself. I am surprised she hasnt made an account and popped up in this thread honestly.
I am hoping to get it wiped down and primed on evening this week. The 5200 wasnt completely cured I guess cause the humidty has been high so I am giving it well at this point 4 days. I want it done but I dont want to rush and mess things up like not have sealants fully cured. So this weekend hopefully bottom paint and I am replacing the rollers on the trailer and I need to make new bunks since whats on there was made out of pressure treated wood and the screwed all those rivets that sat on them. Then the following weekend itll go back on the trailer for gluvit and to start making the new floor.
