So it's got an aft cabin with 2 beds. A v berth and a pull out couch. It's got 2 full baths. 100 gallon freshwater tank 15 gallon black water. 25 gallon hot water heat tri zone heat dual zone ac 6.5kw generator 60 amp shore power service 3 burner stove and oven a fridge and freezer and a separate ice maker. Twin Chrysler 383s at 280 hp each. 4 90 gallon fuel tanks. Digital engine synchronizer. The list goes on. This boat was fully optioned out when it was bought new.
It needs a good cleaning and I need to fix the generator it turns over and has compression but doesn't start yet. I'm thinking points or dirty carb.
I do need to repack the stuffing boxes and paint the bottom the end of the season. Did I mention she needs cleaned but it's an absolutely beautiful boat.
I'm trying to talk the wife into keeping the StarCraft too. But she's wanting to sell it. We got this Trojan so cheap selling the StarCraft would probably pay for the new boat

That big boat is awesome!!! Great layout and space, condition too for its age.
It's a nice boat. It needs some cleaning and an updated interior. I have plans for new carpet and curtains and stuff like that.i am sure there will be other stuff. Less of a project more of a work in progress. It's a bit of a project but not a huge project and it'll be an ongoing one so at least I can use and enjoy the boat

I'm gonna count it as a splash when I move it from it's current location to it's new one. It's maiden voyage under my ownership will be a 30 nm run from where it's at to where I will be keeping it. Hopefully not this weekend but the following one.
I gotta replace the risers on the engines. I also wanna change the oil and do a basic tune up this weekend. And if I have time start figuring out what's up with the Genny.
Oh and buy a lottery ticket and hopefully win so I can justify keeping the SS too

should start a new thread on the new boat.
I did over on the Trojan section but there's like no one there and my StarCraft friends here are cooler. I'm gonna get a smaller StarCraft something with a little tiller motor for running around by the marina. Once this one and my Monark sell

You got kids and or planning on anchoring out for weekends and vacations or fishing? A 16 is better than 12 with a 5 hp or whatever. I'll drop it now but.....

An 8 footer for the kids with 8 ho is good for when we are docked. When we are out they will be on the big boat. A 16 is great but maintenance sucks and the 16 uses way more fuel.

you think way too much fuel, just wait til you fill the big boat.
Oh I know she will be a thirsty girl But what you are forgetting is to use the starcraft where I prefer to be is 110 miles each way over 2 mountains towing. I can go out to my fishing spot in this anchor for the weekend and come back using about the same amount of fuel. My Jeep alone goes through 35 gallons on that trip and the starcraft another 30 gallons for the weekend plus hotel. Now I can run down in my little care using 5 gallons and Ill average about 20 gallons in the boat going the 2-6 miles at about 12mph.
Not to mention I have to be extremely careful in the starcraft and can only go out when its really calm with the kids because the starcraft is over loaded.
You make your decisions for your situation and I will make the ones for mine.

However if you know a way to magically make my StarCraft big enough to handle going out in the chesapeake bay with 900 pounds f humans on it by all means fill us in. I am sure others would like to know too.

Your offended by my posts obviously. I'm out. Be well.
Dude offended no but you seem very upset that my situation has changed and I am leaving the StarCraft family of boats for awhile.
A boat like this has always been a dream for me. I had the excuse and good reason to make the investment. I now have basically a vacation home. I love my StarCraft but it's not safe to take the family out in
