Wire wheels suck when you have that much to do. They fall apart and the wires will stick in your skin, I know. As far as northwoods they have brought up their prices to retail on almost everything in the fishing department. But the inline off shore boards are $18.99, a buck cheaper than at Franks. Both places are still way cheaper than Gander mountain.

Yah, I have had plenty o wire pieces sticking in my crevices from jobs like these, I am with ya.

Gander sells that Bert's rigging for $10 more across the board.

I would paint the trailer what ever color is the cheapest of the two.:D

Well, I do have a fair amount of black Pro Rustoleum in the paint can from the last utility trailer I did and I have about 6 spray cans of the Pro Rustoleum in white from the last boat trailer that I did. I'd say about even on that one, eh.

I would go with white or grey, whatever matches the hull. Bright colors are better for trailers so that you can see it easily. Less kicking it and easier launching:)

Good point HA! The black disappears in the water while the white I could still see. Yur a thinker man!

I do like the idea of a white trailer under a white hull too...

OK, white trailer it is:D

That will be me too soon enough. Talked with my co-treasurer of the soccer team and his next door neighbor at work is an industrial sandblaster dude. Says he'll walk over with me to get it done.

Just need to leave the boat in the water somewhere for a couple of days.

OOOOoooo, bonus! Yah, Golden Arrow may have convinced me to just go ahead and buy one as I don't have one of those guys like you have, rats!

I'm probably in the minority, but I vote for black paint on the tailer!

Are you considering any guide on bunks? Not sure where you plan on taking her out, but I can tell you the wind blows these aluminum hulls around with ease! Makes loading a bit tricky, especially at low tide! I'm gonna put some bunks on mine after this weekend!

Yah, I have been chewing on the idea of guide on bunks - I don't want to spend the extra dough but I know they would help me out a ton especially since I'll be loading alone for many years to come. I'll probably go that route.

Cheers!

When I get to that section of my list.. I'm def doing some small guide ons.. I dont really need them, but.. I kinda like the look of them too..

I also highly recommend PUR15 for rusty metal, and you can paint on it..

So I am thinking that I'll chewed out for this, but...

I think I need it to be winter again so I can get more work done on this tub! Now that it is warm it seems like I have so many projects that need my attention and activities (kids and otherwise) that we are involved in! I still work on her every day but it's mainly stuff like planning, measuring, thinking, buying boat related gear, reading manuals, and the like. Actual elbow grease, not so much.

Yah, winter was more productive I think. It should be winter.

There I said it. Now let me have it, I deserve it.:D

Rain or snow. Spring or winter let me think.

SPRING and RAIN.

I don't like hot weather at all but wishing it was winter when it's springtime is crazy talk. For shame, springtime in Michigan is the best. 35-75 degrees and I'll never complain.

Go fishing guys, it'll Cheer you up. Fish bite better in the rain anyway.

Now I gotta go bail the water out of my cheap Harbor Freight cover again. That's getting old. Happy Sunday morning.

see that's just it... down here it summer high 90's that's why i wanted to work on the boat now. winter is the best fishing here. but i under estimated how hard it is to get outside and work in this heat.

Yah, it's not so much the weather. It's really about all the other stuff that I have to do now that it's nice. During the winter activities are pretty limited which gave me a bunch more time to work on the big girl.

Um, well it is raining again though.
