Re: 1976 22' Starcraft Islander Rebuild
Hey TX, great to see ya again!

All right, schools out!:thumb::
I have a couple of major home projects I'm wrapping up at the moment but I'll start picking away at this Islander again pretty quick.
Hey, check it out, I think I may divert a little on deck coating. My standard has been sand in the epoxy and then Rustoleum. Cheap and easy. I have 3 complaints about the Rusto though. #1 The gloss finish makes the deck just a little slick when wet, even with the sand in the finish. #2 The gloss finish also makes a pretty uncomfortable glare when the sun is out. #3 That gloss finish also makes the deck kinda hot on the bare feet on those hot sunny days.
Course, I can't fault the Rusto, it was certainly not made for the way I was using it ya know.
When I was in Home Depot yesterday picking up house paint I saw this stuff and it definitely got me interested...
It's got a matt finish, has some texture to it and I do believe I can match the Rusto Light Machine Grey color I used on other parts of the boat.
It's obviously designed for decks, so abuse, sun, water certainly shouldn't be an issue. I think if I use a real thick nap roller that should give me just a little more texture too.
I do believe I'll give this stuff a shot. Whatcha guys think, any objections?
