The mob is fickle, but seeing how we don't restrict ourselves to OEM restro I guess we can let some itchy stuff be inside a tin boat.

By the way have considered passing your boat design to the military? I sure they would love retro bomb proof gun boats:D

As a matter of public service to the iboats community (and mankind in general), I took the liberty of preserving the historic moment of Jas glassen up his tinny (see new signature line)...

Thanks PMC, I have to agree, this should definitely remain in the archives for all time...Thanks for having our backs, good looking out for us!;)

Ooooo tongue n' groove. Pretty, and after some (clear throat) glass work, nice and strong

Now were going to start putting itchy stuff in a TINNY :puke:

I don't understand the fuss. No one raised a stink when Jason glassed over the transom, deck and seat boxes. It's rot prevention, he's not building a donor. :D

Sorry GA, I was just having some fun. I have no problems with the glass being used. This is where the old meets the new. Hell, I might even go on and glass my transom just for the strength of it. I have no problems with mixing the materials. Makes for a better stronger boat then original. That's my two cents

OOOooooookkkeeeedoke. Here's the deal. My idea for the bulk heads stinks. Scratch it (again). Just too many joints, too much opportunity for failure. Don't like it, not doin it!

Now I think if I...

CSM and the 1708 and resin.. Now that's GLASSING..:D

I don't think I'd have any issue at all. But the problem would be thickness. I have exactly 3/4" track the bulkheads would need to fit into and no more. They'd just be too fat to fit. So, I'm done with the fir. Back to the mahogany ply idea. Thanks for tolerating me and coming along for the ride. My apologies for making your head spin!

This morning I got on some paint prep, boring, no photos there.

I also got the fat pad cut and fit to the stern backer, dry fit...

So how long did you sit on the bucket sipping on your coffee, thinking about working on the boat instead of actually working on it!!:D
The mahogany ply should look great.
I know what you mean about decisions, my battery dilema I think has finally worked itself out on the SS, That is apost yet to come.

It was a really great few minutes there:becky:

Hey Jas - Could you change the 3/4 track out with 1" track? This bulkhead is driving you bonkers. :blue:
