Those 3 cylinder engines were very popular in this area and they are quite plentiful on the used market during the season.

GBF, You are quite a fella!!! I have a compression checker as well. Drive an 02' Toyota Tacoma and own a 5x10 Trailer. Just don't WANT to go all the way to Michigan to get a $800 motor ($3.33 Gas prices makes it a 1,200 motor) but...If It comes to that...we'll see what happens. There's a few iBoaters up that way I would LOVE to meet!!!:D

Too bad the deal fell through. There is always something somewhere. I was going to say that it's early yet, the lakes are still frozen but I forget about where some of you fellas live.:joyous: Another few weeks here and things will start selling again.

OH CARP!!! This is on my local CL!!!1948 lonestar boat It's 80 Miles away and The ADMIRAL has given her permission for me to "Go Look" and That's all!!! I don't have any Idea what she is, and Fiberglassics only goes back to 53' I'm trying to figure out what a Reasonable Offer might be??? Can't tell what the motor is. I sent an Email and as yet, no response. Not sure if it's titled, but I have a resource for obtaining a title in Okieland for $100. Trailer looks suspect and I'm betting interior is toast too. I'm expecting a Total rebuild so, IF I can "Steal" her, I just might become a "Tinner" She's a LoneStar just like the BF so at least I'm keeping her in the "Family" I'll Really need a LOT of guidance on this "Metal" stuff but I think I know some guys that could "Hep" me with it. Who know's he might think $5,000 is unreasonable.

I'm thinking $250...

Lets get a good look at the suspect craft:

Certainly looks like the 1 I posted earlier, just it ^^^ still has the bubble wrap around windshield (which is better, IMO):

Not a great resource, but there are quite a few LS El Dorado's pix posted, LoneStar group

Hope the transom & pod are still intact or they at least did a nice job dropping the transom to allow for a stern mounted OB rather then 1 on a pod.

JB,
Love the trailer!
Um, if you're refering to the 3min youTube video I posted above, entitled: My El Dorado

That's just some random El Dorado video I found online, not MY Eldorado :watermelon: I'd gladly take it though
