Mike the ice you received, also made it's way to Michigan, Sunday morning we woke to ice covered everything. It's nice to look at but it really damaged the tree's around my place, rental was even worse. Time to break out the chain saw and maybe have a winter bon-fire for new years. Everything melted off yesterday, and it turned very cold, like 25 degrees cold!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

pcolafisher, thanks for dropping by!! The Blue Flamingo Has her Winter Clothes on and is in Hibernation!!!! I've been busier than a One armed Paper Hanger with Mulitiple Projects since Thanksgiving. My Kids, Grandkids and Work have all been keeping my schedule full. As soon as it warms up just a bit, I'm gunna be working on the motor to see if I can get it to run on both cylinders and If I can't I'll be taking her to a local marina for a diagnostics. When spring comes she'll get some paint touch ups and some other cosmetics and then I hope to use her a LOT this season IF the motor can get the issues worked out. I've been looking hard on CL for a 60-70 hp motor but so far nothing has turned up, but still looking and hoping.

Good luck with that cabin fever....just heard that we probably won't see above freezing for another week. :blue: :mad2::violin: Managing to get by OK though. You must have enough back burner projects to keep you busy!

Back Burner!!! Hmm... The stove is full, the Hot Plate is full, the Grill is full, Heck, I got so many things in the Fire, the neighbors called the Fire Dept. on me the other day!!!!:D

When it's cold in Okie Land, it gives people WAY to much time to think of stuff and for some reason they think I can build or fix anything they need. Doesn't leave much time for MY stuff. My shop looks like a Nor'Easter hit it!!!! When it's cold, I run out and do things and NEVER take time to clean up after. It's gunna take a month of cleaning once good weather hits just so I can make another mess!!!!

Re: 1961 Lonestar Flamingo - SPLASHED w/Pics

I'm beginning to think that 80's models Evinrudes must be the best motors ever built. They NEVER seem to come on the market. I've been looking everywhere for one. Searched the entire MidWest region of Craigslist for Evinrude and Johnson 65-70 hp and the ONLY one I've found is a 1980 model for $750 in Detroit. That's a bit too far for me to travel to get it. St. Louis, Dallas, Kansas City but not Detroit. I'm still gunna try to get the old 40 hp "Ship Shape" just in case I find a Motor on a Boat and buy a Package Deal and swap the motor out and then sell the boat with my old 40 hp on it and put the 70hp on the BF. Maybe something will turn loose when the weather turns but MAN this is like finding a Needle in a Hay Stack!!!!

Update...Unbelievable... just came on CL for $600. I sent an email sooooo we'll see what happens. Says ran good when put in storage last year. You guys think a 75 hp would be to big for the BF?? Not sure what year this is either. Says it's a Hustler.

Is that a short shaft WOG?

There are a few good ones in Zool's list too.

Nope it's a long shaft. But I found out from searching the web it's possibly a 75' model. But it supposedly a good motor according to what I'm reading. I'm gunna go take a look and see if I can get it for $450
