Yeah, well, I am mostly a purist myself so I think will take your advice and keep her original. I got the original evinrude paint for her so I can make her look like new. Lots of painting in my future. I just bought a new HVLP gun so can't wait to see how it performs with the Easypoxy. It's a little better quality that the HF I have.

Well, I was going to try an apply the first coat of Pettit Easypoxy today but... We had a cold front come through in Oklahoma. Rain and temps in the 50's and 60's so... No Go. I Got the Hardener and a New HVLP gun so I'm itchin to lay down the first coat to see how it does. Pics will be forthcoming as soon as I get some temps in the 70's Hope everyone is having fun with their restorations!!

Not yet, I have been waiting for some warm weather so I can paint the hull and get her flipped. I need to get some measurements of the inside before I can start building the seats and I can't do that till I get her flipped back over. Been tearing stuff off the trailer in preparation for sandblasting and paint. Want to try and get her painted this weekend if the RAIN holds off but NOT looking very promising.

We're having a rainy week too, but I've been able to keep sanding between times. Really looking forward to seeing your first coat of Easypoxy & hearing what you think about it.
I sold a boat ladder to a guy and he saw my project and offered to let me borrow his compressor (turns out I worked with him years ago), but found out it was a pancake type for a nailer.

Yeah, LL I am so anxious to try out my NEW HVLP gun and the Paint with the Hardener that I am beside myself. I really hope it works out well so that other on here can benefit from my findings. If it does, I'm going to turn right around and paint my trailer with Rustoleum with the hardener in it and see how that works.

You and me, and all my family and friends and neighbors and EVRYBODY else that I have SUCKERED into helping me on this thing. I can't believe how long it has taken. Man being 60 sure slows a feller down. When I was in my 30's I'd a been working on this thing till the wee hours of the morning every single day till she was done, but now I'm just too darn tired when I get home from work to do much.

Hey Wood,
We had lots of rain here in Dallas this morning. That storm must have come your way. Saying it's going to rain tomorrow too....
Really slows things down.
Your looking good for 60. LOL

Yeah, they say tomorrow, we're gunna have a MAJOR Tornado Break Out. Predicting More than 50 Tornado's in Ok, KS, and MO. And Major Flooding. This is really starting to get me down. One good thing though, I might have scored a 75 HP 1961 Evinrude Starflite for my boat tonite for $125 bucks. We'll see if the guy takes my offer.

Yeah, I am SOOOO anxious to shoot her, but I want to stay in the Humidity range of the recommendations for the EasyPoxy and the Hardener so I can be sure that the Hardener works as advertised with it. If patience is a virtue I guess I'm not very virtuous!!!!
