    Trailer Leafsprings Bottoming Out

Agree springs are too long, and that axles should normally be located on top of the springs. Anything is possible, but I have never seen or heard of a U bolt failure. Further, if your weight alone is collapsing the spring as shown in the video, they are WAY too light, no matter what they are...

    Keeping pontoon gates open

One reason for open door policy- My 'toon lives in the shade of a big tree most of the day, and said tree drops little sticks and leaves here and there. If I leave at least the front door open, these leaves and twigs are often blown off the boat unassisted.....

2016 Honda BF90 HP Tachometer issue

If it was working correctly up to this point, I would confirm it's getting 12 -13 volts, and the ground wire is making a good connection. That being the case, I doubt any adjustments have changed by themselves, so you may need a new tach.

Need advice on fine tuning a new pontoon (minor cavitation)

Motor installed in lowest hole would mean the engine has been installed as high as possible, right? That being the case, when it comes to cavitation, you should be seeing a big jump in rpm when that happens, and to reduce/eliminate that cavitation you would lower the motor. Your tach will...

2001 Honda 50 hp shift and throttle box.

No. it will not work. If it's any help, Honda has been using the same control on the 35 - 90 hp motors that I know of for sure, from the beginning up through 2007 or so. I generally get them on ebay. 200 for a decent control with wiring harness is about what they go for.

Need advice on fine tuning a new pontoon (minor cavitation)

It sounds like the lifting stakes are raising the boat up high enough at speed where you are getting some venting. A cupped prop might help, as would dropping the motor one hole. That boat is sitting WAY low in the back, which is why I would avoid 75 and 90 hp motors on a boat this length.

    2002 princecraft 24 ft 115hp

Just one thought here. How's your patience? From a sales perspective, you aren't going to find a time of year where demand for used boats is much higher. A wait until late summer/fall (September?) could save thousands on a purchase like this one.

    40 hp twin engines

Myself, after having driven some of the 70'+ class houseboats on a single, I would check out how the boat handles on the single engine for a bit, THEN make your decision regarding how you want to proceed. Twin 4 stroke plan sounds awesome, but something like that is going to make a pretty...

    Honda '85 B100L submerged

Short answer - unless that motor has some special significance in your heart, my vote would be to let it die a dignified death. Or maybe find another motor and build it using parts from this one?

    2 stroke to 4 stroke

Unless your new motor has an 02 (oxygen) sensor (no idea), I'd just run that fuel through it. I run 50:1 through the Honda's I work on all the time. Good 2 stroke oil has a wonderful fuel stabilizer built in to it, and a thin cote of oil on the valves, rings and cylinder wall won't hurt a thing...

Honda BF90-Flush value issue- can someone help?

There's a small spring loaded plastic check valve that allows hose water in to rinse, then closes when the hose is disconnected to prevent cooling water from escaping. As you've guessed, that's likely sticking and it will probably require taking apart to clean. Because of that kind of...
