Trailer questions for vintage Glastron Tri-hull

I'm betting he did that to the picture to protect his privacy..... Not a bad plan either.

Trailer questions for vintage Glastron Tri-hull

A trailer with bunks and a center roller placed under the transom would be what I would looking for. I didn't realize earlier that your pic could be blown up to show the entire rig. Even if that trailer were long enough, my preference would be for something to support the transom w/weight of...

    Florida Registration

Florida is a complete PIA to deal with when it comes to out of state registrations moving to Florida. All of your out of state documents MUST BE ORIGINALS. No copies of anything allowed. No excuses. Once you have all that in your possession, you should have no trouble re-registering here...

Trailer questions for vintage Glastron Tri-hull

Your pic shows your concern clearly, but doesn't show the forward section of the boat or trailer. If there is room to move the winch stand and boat far enough forward so the transom is properly supported, that's where I would start. Get the boat located on the trailer properly. THEN, if there's...

Under ideal conditions maybe - e.g. covered when not in use.

    2007 Bennington 2275RLi

My concern would be for the upholstery. Even though it sounds like it's been under cover, I would want to confirm the condition of the vinyl AND the stitching with a close inspection. If the vinyl isn't soft and supple with all stitching intact, it's got one foot in the grave. That can turn into...

    Second fuel tank

We always ran the first tank down to half, then emptied the second one, knowing we'd have a half tank to get home on. Nothing fancy. You could either move the fuel line from one tank to another or install a Y valve.

    Freeport Boat

My point exactly. You aren't going to know until you've seen it, and inspected it, first hand.

    Little white tube... 92 suntracker

Unless I'm mistaken, the hoses in the first 2 pics drain rain water that collects in the drink holder overboard. Of course the boat will function without them.

    Little white tube... 92 suntracker

Is this a pontoon boat, possibly with drains leading from the drink holders? It's hard to say, but that middle pic looks like it has a broken off hose nipple from one of the drink holders. No huge deal, but it keeps rain water that ends up in the drink holders from getting into the cabinets...

    Freeport Boat

I think the point is that it's going to be pretty much impossible to tell you anything worthwhile without physically seeing the boat and doing some pretty close inspection.

    Spectrum 1990 tunnel hull.

A worthy project from where I'm sitting! Should do a really nice job in a chop. Still, 200hp may be a bit of a stretch. Check out the waterline with that relatively light 2 stroke 90 on it. Thinking that hull is really going to squat/struggle with the weight of a 200 on it. Kinda like a pontoon...

;^) https://www.boats.net/catalog/honda/outboard From here, pick your HP, then your year, and for most parts I use the LRTA models. From 2004 on back the 50's are the same.... Holler if that doesn't work out for you! -Al

    Twin Mercruiser L6's '74 165's now 292

Geez, just don't pull the roof down on you... Cherry pickers are cheap at Harbor Freight, and the fold up nice so they don't have a big foot print when not in use. I bought a half ton on sale for less than a hundred bucks. I've had a 400lb outboard on it with no issue. Never had the occasion to...

I'm not real sure I'm looking at the right part. I'm thinking we're talking about #2 in this diagram? https://www.boats.net/catalog/honda/outboard/50hp/bf50a2-lrta-vin-bazs-3220001-to-bazs-3299999/throttle-rod If that is the case, you can order it pretty easily. Before that though, see if the...

New (old) hard top pontoon owner

For weight, I would want quite a safety factor built in. I'm guessing that top weighs a hundred pounds, but I would plan on at least 250 for this project.... For lift, I think something in the range of 36-42" should be close.

Carpeting ugh! Consider vinyl flooring of any type, but whatever way you go, make sure you install spacers (1/2" or so) between the deck and the rails. WAY WAY easier to maintain.....
