350 mag mpi fuel cooler removal help

Actually, buying the Hardin S/S plugs is cheaper (when bought in a pack of 5 for $25) than the OEM plastic ones. Have used the Hardins in my last 3 boats and have never had a problem with them. Amazon has the blue plastics for $10 for 10 (but bet they are cheapie Chicom knock offs)...

    Caddy XT5 Towing Capability

My CT6 has the 6 cyl 3.0 twin turbo (404 hp) and when it shifts from 6 to 4 or back it isn't even noticeable, except for the indicator on the dash. Have heard there is a setting or driving mode to disable (forgot what it was), but haven't bothered since it displays no bad manners and gets...

Fuel Gauge making full, even with no power.

Probably. The gauge sender minimum resistance is 33 ohms (240-33), 33 ohms being FULL and 240 empty. Grounding it, dropped the 33 to zero. You effectively shorted it out and smoked the gauge.

Pinion gear timing to driven gears in B3 upper housing

Do you need the actual Mercruiser Bravo drive rebuild manual? I have Manual 28 in PDF if you need it. Has a full rebuild section in it and bet it is 100 time more complete than the Seloc manual.

Where can this water be coming from?

Maybe get a cheap borescope (a bluetooth / WiFi one can be had on Amazon for cheap) and have a peek back there while running. Won't show a leaking core plug behind the flywheel, but will show a core plug on back of head or a weeping head gasket. Maybe you can get your phone camera back there to...

    Water leak into bilge

Bad bellows Bad "Y" pipe Bad transom assy / seal I would look real hard at this one. Bad steering pin seal (My B3 did this and would leak about a gallon an hour into bilge just sitting). Does your drive have a lot of play in it? Have some slop up and down? Replaced steering pin and everything...

Looking for a different distributor than my crab cat dist.

That's pretty slick. Maybe add a little epoxy to it when assembling, to glue to the dizzy body. Would make future changes so much easier.

    Pumping out oil from dipstick

Can use a 2" hose, but still pulling thru the dipstick tube.

    Pumping out oil from dipstick

The top of the "garden hose fitting" has a stub tube sticking up above it. I clamp the suction hose on the stub tube and use the vacuum pump. Have to wait till my engine comes out before I put the banjo fitting / hose on my oil pan, some obvious reasons.

Need Help Selecting New Trailer Brake Kit/Actuator

Yeah, I believe that too. I would have changed them out to Kodiaks, but the Tiedown calipers and rotors were new on all 4 wheels when I got the trailer last year. Figured I would wait till they needed work before tossing them and upgrading.

Need Help Selecting New Trailer Brake Kit/Actuator

Drew, as you know, I had the same boat, but with a different trailer. I did the actuator rebuild and it worked well with no problems. I also went with the Kodiak dacromat rotors and calipers and they stopped the boat just fine. The boat I have now, I have the Tie Down rotors and calipers, but...

    Pumping out oil from dipstick

When there is a PCV in an engine, it has a vent that lets air in from somewhere (usually the air cleaner), otherwise the PCV won't work.

    Exhaust Bellow

Will be a bit louder if removed. Most Bravos use the tube, not a bellows. Works on the Alphas, too. Being an older engine and not as clean burning as the newer ones, you will probably notice some exhaust soot or coloration deposits on the transom / drive. But that is easy to clean off. Just a...
