Pumping out oil from dipstick

The top of the "garden hose fitting" has a stub tube sticking up above it. I clamp the suction hose on the stub tube and use the vacuum pump.

Have to wait till my engine comes out before I put the banjo fitting / hose on my oil pan, some obvious reasons.

That will work too, but the garden hose adapter allows you to use a larger diameter hose.

Can use a 2" hose, but still pulling thru the dipstick tube.
