12, you are really out there. I don't think kerry would have gotten anywhere near even %45 here on iboats, let alone the %49 or so he actually got. Who are you trying to kid? your boy won the election already, OK? You don't need to retroactively award kerry only 10-15% of the vote, which is more like what he was getting in pre-election iboats polls. Your numbers are waaayyy off. "Lies", huh? anyone who offers up something you don't happen to agree with is "lying" ? haven't we been through this before?

the jist of his statement I think was that the election outcome here on iboats was the same as in the nation at large. Last I was following the preelection hoohaw here, kerry was lucky to be pulling %15, if that. If I remember correctly, kerry actually got something like %49. Unless the repubs did a recount based on acreage of the map, and took away about %34 of the kerry vote.

I too think that its mostly an age thing. Most of us here are like was stated ealier, older, 50 or better, been there, done that and know pretty much what works and what doesnt. As to the gay thing, God didnt destroy two cities because he thought the gay lifestyle was hunky dory. He even called it an abomination. If its good enough for God, its good enough for me. I dont hate gays, but I dont have to like there lifestyle either.

You really are equating acres with votes! no matter how much I disliked the guy, kerry got more of a percentage in the general election than he would have gotten here on iboats. that's not a lie, its just provable fact. Unless you can point me to an Iboats poll where kerry got anywhere near %49 here. Then I will concede the error of my ways.

This "map" is my absolute favorite piece of right wing propaganda..

Anyone with half a brain who has a clue about the geographical location of the major population centers the these here United States knows that the "map" in question does not come anywhere near an honest representation the population at large... New York, Miami, Palm Beach, San Fancisco, Philly, DC.... Oh well.. Never could say the right was honest.. All they see is red........

Snapper, You're halfway right. There are allot of blue areas on that map that are low population areas. ie; Northern Wisconsin, Northern Minnesota, New Mexico, Southern AZ, Southern tip of Texas, The upper UP of Michigan, for pete's sake, just to name a few.

You are blind! ACRES with Votes? VOTES with people, people with one vote each, sane person! LOL! It would have been identical to an iboats pole. Not one more scurvy percentage point for kerry, and Mike moore is still french. OF COURSE THE RERSULTS WOULD BE DIFFERENT! Like that matters! but the OUTCOME would be the same. Kerry would lose miserably, just like he did back in November. Kerry got tromped SOUNDLY. If iboats voted today, it would be the same. We would still have GWBush in the White House with (and this is the part requiring me to GLOAT) a mandate!

yes, I know that 12. Chill out already! What is NOT the same is the numbers that kerry would have pulled here on iboats, and the numbers he actually pulled in the election, which is basically what you seem to have been saying in the post that you removed. Just because bush won and your map is all red, doesn't mean that the those who voted against your boy have gotten fewer after the fact. The map is a tricky kind of lie of its own, because it shows acreage not votes. but you guys like to drag it out every time this comes up with a big old "boo-yaah! In your face, Loser!" because it does a good job of trivializing the kerry vote. More power to ya, but I'm smart enough to see the dishonesty in this map, and others are too. we were talking in this thread about the percentage of liberals vs conservatives here, not whether there was more of one than the other. THAT much is pretty obvious.

You are absolutely correct, that the miniscule dabs of blue satterted across that "propaganda" map like so many spatters of smurfy paint, geographically, are the cities..Areas of condensed populations of democrats. Ask yourself, "WHY"? And do not lie. You can lie to anyone else, but nobody should ever lie to themselves. It can really mess you up in the head..Just look at Woodrat.

The blue areas also coincide with areas that "minorities" are the "majority". Look in south Texas. Democrats have always wooed minorities with all kinds of "benifits". That is why they vote for them. So few "minorities" realize they just become slaves to those "benifits".
