Pulling a '97 Chaparral 21' with a '03 39' Fleedwood Discovery with a 330hp Cat. Need a little bigger area to turn/launch but pulls it like a toy. Throw a wheel chock behind the rv duals just to make it a little less scary. Rv tail is long enough that the rear wheels and exhaust never get near the water. Use a scooter to get around.

Relatively new here but here's mine - 1994 Blue Water 22' Marquee pulled by a 1999 Ford F350 crew cab 4x4 with a 7.3. Might be a bit much, but it pulls my 4 horse trailer without 2nd thoughts also.

Pull my 16' bass boat with my 2000 Dakota with 174k on the clock...5 speed with the HD trans aka lower 1st and 2nd gear and 3.92 rear so it does pretty good, pulls better with the Superchips on Tow Mode than regular economy mode. I definitely have to do the front brakes that have been on it for 5+ years though because it doesn't like to stop as good as it should.

Re: What do you pull your boat with?

I pull my 2004 Bryant 214 w/ a 2005 Toyota Prerunner w/ the factory tow package. It's rated for 6500# and I guesstimate I'm right around 5500#. Since the ramps I frequent aren't steep and in really good condition I don't worry (much) about launching from them, but I really stress at the thought of visiting an unknown lake. If my truck was 4x4, I wouldn't worry much at all.

For the record, I have also pulled 2 1999 Polarix SLX jetskis, 1996 20' pontoon w/ 70h Suz 4S and a 2006 Monterey 180FS w/ thjis rig without the least bit of trouble.

Re: What do you pull your boat with?

I use my 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 as my tow rig. Rated for 9500lbs, has the factory tow package with in-dash trans temp gauge, 3.73 gears, pulls everything I need. Eventually I want to end up with either a crew-cab 6.0 Ford (thinking orange/tan King Ranch edition) or 98ish crew-cab Chevrolet with 6.0 LSx engine swap (or maybe a Cummins conversion lol).

Re: What do you pull your boat with?

The couple times I've towed my 14' Larson Playboy has been with my Chevy Aveo.. looks a little silly since the boat sits a lot higher than the roof of the car, but it's not been a problem.. Even the one time I dunked it in the lake and she took on a bunch of water. The car hopped around a little getting her out, but I still managed it just fine. Figure that was probably a good 1000lbs extra water weight

A 2002 Ford Mondeo Estate (Wagon) 2.0 TDCI (turbo diesel) 5sp manual. Rated to tow 1800kg (4000lbs) with my setup weighing circa 750 to 850kg (1600 to 1900). 17ft Microplus 501 with 50hp Merc (1990) plus aux, fuel and other stuff. Front wheel drive never had an issue, got winter tyres up front, all weight is over them, its got 244lb ft and 130bhp so all good.
I'm in the UK.

I pull my 1988 sea ray mid cabin with my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4. Pulls just fine down road, total weight between boat and trailer is 5000K roughly.

1999 Ford E-Series 150 van with V6 engine. Rated to pull 10,000 pounds. V8 5.4 only does 2,000 pounds more. I hardly notice that I have something behind me.

Re: What do you pull your boat with?

My new to me 2006 F-250 with 6.0 PSD pulls my 24' Maxum like it's not even back there. By far the best tow vehicle I have ever owned. Replaces a 2002 Ram 3500 with V-10 that crankshaft broke @ 113K miles.photobucket-4088-1334319917387.jpg$(KGrHqFHJCkE7y3YzuT!BPEc8Z3rvg~~_4.jpg

I pull mine with a 2007 Chevy Silverado with the non-flex 5.3 liter. It pulls my Javelin 379 FS pretty well the places it's been so far.
