What do you pull your boat with?

I use my old friend, my 1996 Ford Econoline 350. With the 4.10 gears and the 7.5l engine it's not even remotely stressful in doing it.

I tow my 2003 searay srx176 with a 2004 Subaru Outback 3.0l tows with no problems at all

As of this year I tow my 16 foot ss 160 with 60 etec with a 2013 ford edge awd 3.5 Doesn't even notice the boat at all.No issues with any ramps either.

Turned in the 2016 Tundra CrewMax 4x4 w/TRD package on a 2017 4Runner Premium 4x4 w/3rd row....

Haven't towed with it yet but we have yet another kiddo on the way so we needed the extra seating. Should do OK as boat/trailer should come in around 4k (including gear, gas, batteries, etc) and this is rated to 5k. Won't be nearly as capable as the Tundra but it should do as its Body On Frame.

We'll see..it's the first time in 16 years I will not own a pickup.

Won't let me edit so I figured I'd update after a season of towing. While not as capable as the Tundra the 4Runner did a fine job towing. Had it loaded with a week's worth of stuff for vacation including a car topper and it went smoothly. Only knocks I have on it are the electronic throttle is a big laggy to respond. I have the green light from the admiral to get a Pedal Commander for it next season which should cure most of what ails it.

Photo of this 70 Formula was taken long ago in Everglades City. Now to tow I use my 98 Trans Am which towed the sailboat to Key West twice (400mi each way). The prior 86 Trans Am towed it there once.

Chevy Volt. With a 100% torque @ 0 RPM from the electric motors, it is an excellent tow vehicle for getting the load moving. The regenerative braking slows the load down w/o excessive wear on the brakes. The 350 lb battery pack means it's heavy for its size so you don't have a tail wagging the dog scenario. Use the Tahoe for the big Sundancer, but he Volt tows either Glastron Carlson CVX18 or my little 16' seaRay w/ease.
