What y'all think? Rub rail is alluminum. Thinking about painting it satin black to set it off against the white.

Re: Vendetta restore

If I was fixin those "Dings" I'd grind em out with a dremel, wash em out with acetone and mix resin and some cut up CSM and some Cabosil to make some Thickened "Hairy" resin to fill em with. Let em cure for an hour and then I'd then grind and shape em to fit as best I could. Wash em down again with acetone and then I'd mix some Resin and Glass bubbles for my final "Fairing Material" to smooth over any low spots. and then use 180 -220 grit to smooth her all out prior to primer and paint. That's what I would do. Others may come along with other opinions.

Not a perfect job but it'll look good on the water when I got the big one on the line.
Urethane paint is either really easy to use or I had a guardian angel telling me what to do. I used "the lil purple gun that could" from HB. Of course about the time I got halfway done I figured out how it worked so the second half looks better, maybe I will only fish with the right side towards the banks.lol

Took several tries to get the hang of how much liquid makes X amount of foam. This stuff is fun to use,if it was cheaper it would be fun to play with . I could see maybe a foam water balloon or maybe a 20oz drink bottle bomb .lol

Got the topcap on today and put in a few rivets to keep it stable. Looks really good to see it all together again.

Re: Vendetta restore

Got a permanent boat shelter built this week thanks to my bro in law donating metal roofing to the project in exchange for me helping demolishing the shed it was on.

started building compartment lids. My first attempt.

test fit looks good.

and the rest went smooth. Anyone care to give an estimate on how much gap I need to leave so when I carpet the boat so the lids won't be really hard to open? I'm thinking about 3/16 to 1/4 between lids.

Rod locker and deck extension test fit.

Re: Vendetta restore

Got the topcap painted, had a few runs, sanded again, recoated.

The dam wind blew the drop cloth up on to the top at 1point so I gotta sand that and there was a couple more spots I saw that need a lil more attention but overal the lil purple gun that could did a dam fine job.

My fav part of the whole thing is the splash well. When I took the top off it was literally in pieces but we all back together now!

Got the rub rail installed today.

Put in the overflows

ADHD kicked into overdrive so I finished the front carpet and installed the trolley and seat pedestal.

I took a vacation day friday so I could have a 3 day weekend and maybe get this puppy done and splash her.

Re: Vendetta restore

After 2 1/2 days I have the interior carpeting and deck extension all done.

Extension is working as I hoped.

As soon as my fishing partner found out the inside was done she just had to sit in it.lol

Now I got to get the wiring and steering done and motor install.
