Re: Tri-Hull Club...Yes? No? Maybe?

HELP, I NEED A CAPACITY PLATE! Mine is M.I.A, I still haven't done anything to my Tri-hull. Besides clean it out. I bought it 13 years ago, had the transom and floor replaced, traded it for a motorcycle and it was given back to me recently. I need seats, lights, live well stuff and all safety items. I contacted Glastron and they can't help with a 1976 T-169. They did send me the original brochure information on-line. I have the info to put on it, I just don't have the plate. I tried to contact the U.S Coast Guard. I left messages and never got anything back.

HI, everyone!

does shopping for a TRI count? IF SO, count me IN. =====> i'm looking for an I/O-powered, LARGE, Tri-hull to "live-line bait" & drift-fish the south TX coast. = say about 22-24 foot with a straight 6 Chevy.
(or better yet, one of the OLD Chrysler marine engines!)

fwiw, i just swapped my Starcraft "tin can" off for a BUNCH of carpentry/masonry work on our mountain cabin in WV, so Sandra won't fuss if i buy another "driveway toy"!

Re: Tri-Hull Club...Yes? No? Maybe?

to ALL:

fwiw, i've found a 196? or 197? (the current owner inherited it, knows ZILCH about the rig & doesn't have the title yet from the probate court clerk.) TWENTY-TWO foot Glastron TRI in Austin for 500.oo.
it's mostly white trimmed in forest green, seems to be all there & in one piece, has a 302CI Ford engine, Volvo outdrive & is on a decent tandem Dilly trailer.

i've looked at the Glastron threads & am trying to figure out WHICH year it is AND the name that Glastron called it. ======.> does anyone here know what the various Glastron "letter/number" designations mean?- i'm thinking that it may be a late '60s Vagabond V-23, but that is a SWAG & a shaky SWAG at that.

thanks for reading this.

yours, PG

note: assuming that the 22 is NOT a "mixmaster", it will likely follow me home in the next few days/DAZE.

You are already "in" the club with the ownership of the trihull.

To be honest, nobody has actually done any legwork on this other than me getting stickers made as far as collecting a list of email addresses for a newsletter or anything. Anyone want to volunteer? I'm not completely opposed to it, but I'm so busy that I don't think I could carry that torch all by myself.

I can probably give up some of my valuable time to help with this endeavor, just let me know what you need and I will let ya know if I can do it. I am retired (not by choice, actually disabled, but i like the term retired better) and have an abundance of extra time!

Here is a pic of mine after rebuild. Don't know if I'll ever refinish the outside or not. I'm sure some of you guys have followed my thread and seen these already.

Nice boat mojo! Take care of that canvas ... I had a full set like that on my last tri-hull, and I could be out in nearly any weather (reasonable weather, that is).
