Bummer you got epoxy on your camera lens :p

It seems to be doing fine now, a camera I can replace.

I accidently epoxied a foam roller to the admirals favorite measuring cup that "accidently" disappeared from the kitchen. Did you know that a foam roller epoxied to a measuring cup will break the tempered glass before the epoxy bond will give.

Well here is the good news the work situation has resolved itself, the company at strong urging of some top performers has decided to reconsider for now. it made my day.
Congrats, had to feel great ^^^
So here is my tribute to IBOATES:

Thanks, I appreciate it ^^^ :watermelon:

Excellent stuff happening @your boathouse: 'Toon, extra DIY garage, hull paint, etc..... Great looking paint work

So epoxy'd the deck, what's the final deck finish shaping up to be? Rusto & sand, durabak, vinyl~nautolex??

Well,

Everyone LIGHT the torches, get the pitchforks, hide the children.

The final floor finish is going to be carpet. I know rot inducing, water holding, carpet. BUT I am doing it that way because this is a family boat and not a fishing boat. AND I LIKE the feel of carpet on my toes

Sig, everything looks good. I like the shoutout to iboats. I agree with the carpet in a "family" boat. I think I am going to do the same thing. Keep the great updates coming!!!

Well there really isn't much more to show at this point it has all been trailer but we are almost done with the trailer. Which is basically the red headed step child of the boat rebuild.

I rushed it even still, and started putting crap together before the paint fully hardened, you can see the results below

It isn't perfect nor is it anywhere even close to my normal quality of work but it should help with rust abatement for the moment and keep the trailer safe to pull for a bit.

Ha...I did the same project today. Yeah, it's totally a "just get it done" job. At least you don't have to think about it when you're ready to get the SC wet. And your paint looks great! Cheers.

Not a whole lot of progress to show,

I flipped her back over on the trailer,

Today I brought her outside and cleaned the hull again,

I ordered a new fuel pump for the toon,

cleaned the growth off of the toons, and motor.

I'd rather pick dog poop out of the yard than do trailer work!

Sig, that trailer don't look half bad. Once you get a boat on it it'll look pretty good.

Yeah the boat is back on it now. She is flipped and cleaned I still have quite a bit of work to do before flooring can go back in.

I have to get the last bits of carpet glue off of the aluminum, Little bits of that foam are STILL hanging around. I have now tried Muratic acid, and Kleen Strip to remove that carpet glue and it won't budge, Anyone have any advice?

I used a cup type wire wheel in my angle grinder to get the foam and course glue off. Wasn't worried about getting real clean as I was gluing carpet back over it.

I used GOOF OFF aerosol professional with the blue lid. Spray it on leave it for 10 minute then use a plastic scraper to lift the goo. Then I give a final good wipe down with acetone. I found it worked very well.

Re: Time to get started on the starcraft resto.

Today I put some 120 grit sandpaper on the random orbital sander and it helped ALOT, but it is extremely tedious and time consuming, (though I do have the time as I am still a Long ways away from splash date).

One more question, I was speaking with my insurance agent today, how much insurance should I purchase for it on the replacement value, (assuming the restoration is done)?

I was thinking around $3500 but then I got to thinking with the amount of time, money, and labor I have put into this I am not sure if $3500 is enough.

I currently have my SS201 insured for $15000. but I am going to bump it up to $20000. as that is what they are worth up here.
