Re: The search for a free (or nearly free) Starcraft!
I'd go swipe it for ya but my truck is out of commission at the moment (I can't figure if it's an ignition issue or the fuel pump).
It would be a heck of a long drive on some pretty busy roads to grab it with the Ferguson.
Sorry bro.
LOL that would be a long ride, he's in Bridgeport. It would be a funny sight to see you crossing the Zilwaukee bridge on the Ferguson
No worries, I just spoke to him again on the phone. He's gonna hold it for me until friday.
I was the first person to call and he's turned down 5 other people already. I got on the horn quickly this time and might have really lucked out.
The trailer comes with two extra tires and he told me he's planning on greasing the bearings before I hit the road.
Thanks for posting the link buddy! Maybe we should splash this one before we tear it apart?
I can bring the Minn Kota or we could bolt up your 50hp
Nice what year is it HA ??
The boat and motor are from the 70s. The outboard should be somewhere between '75-'79.
As long as it's not electric shift I will be fine with the motor.
Compression last read 90-90-85 according to the owner. For $350 I really don't care since it would still be a great parts motor probably.
This is the listing:
1970s ? with 75 hp outboard 15ft 11- w 2- 6 gal tanks with trailer and 2 spare tires deep v hull aluminum seat in fair con. floor needs to be redone, reg. good till 2012. had on water last year it ran good shut down to fish wouldn't start up. maybe carbs or air in fuel line don't know . overall boat is in fair shape. only running this ad for a week if no takers will scrap if you just need a trailer scrap the rest
The boat is white, I'm guessing a Jupiter or Holiday but who knows. We'll see when we get there! This should be fun
