longer column for char lynn pump turned up 3 weeks ago
Needed to fabricate a bracket which supported the hydraulic pump under the dash, seen as now it would not be bolted hard up to dash
The 2nd picture shows the bracket and pump which will sit under dash, however will be tilted with a little more angle
seems strong enough, it will do the job
looking for large dish D- steering wheel approx. 12-13" Dia

Went for warrant of fitness and failed on having no side lights as trailer is 2.38m (7.93'), should of done the home work as over 2.1m need the side lights

Of well ....another $18 for inspection on Friday, gives me a few days to add the side lights
Everything else check out good

had a look at the seat height tonight,
I could get away with the seat bases being 175mm from from floor, however feels more comfortable @ 125mm (5") H between seats and floor

Thinking I'll give the Garelick 77000 seat suspension a go, as they are only 50mm H, seems not many other choices out there if you want to sit on the floor with the ski boat seats

As i was looking at the seat height decided to see whether i could find some were to bolt the mercury/Kiekhaefer zero effect controllers
Made up template
will need to fabricate a mount up in gurit board and then glass
Trying to get the controls on flat of hull without mounting to close to dash
I've seen the controllers mounted with handle raking back and also forward,
With the handle sloping back I get the throttle on inside, so not sure which is correct or whether it even matters

any comments???

keep in mind, you will most likely change seat height once you get it out on the water.

prior to lifting boat on trailer, we placed one strap under boat to try and find the centre of Gravity of the hull with engine/gearbox/drive in
still needs fuel tanks, seats of driver
However wanted to see where approx CG was
approx 1.5m from back of boat overall length 6.3m
76 / 24%
Therefore wondering whether its possible to move some of the fuel up front to distribute the weight
This is custom boat so not sure what stand it was designed to as have no information

boat back on trailer found an important issue which I had taken for granted
Now nose of trailer up in air too much weight sitting over rear axle
now i have found centre of gravity of boat can see that pair of axles need to be slid to rear of boat approx 2 feet, this will move weight on to towbar for better balancing
ah the job for tomorrow morning
lift boat and trailer and then slide the axles to rear
pain in arse as have to redo the connection to brake lines, any them the breaks fix one issues and move on to the others one by one
