Seriously though Paul66, that's a RIDICULOUS deal. I hope I can find as great a deal in a year or two when I'm looking to upgrade.

I have to admit Kev, I had an awesome day on my boat on Monday and I got my "new" to me trailer all finished and ready to swap under it so I'm pretty happy with my boat at the moment. It goes without saying though that if I'd seen Paul's boat before he did and it was within 200 miles of me, it would be in my driveway!!!

lol..hate is such a strong (however appropiate!) thing....
Glad to hear u had such a great day on the water Ez....I would go 500-600 miles for that @ 350.00 and smile all the way home my dang self!!
Then pack all my belongings in both boats and start looking for a new place to live since Diane would change the locks the second I left the driveway to get it! Oh sacrafices....lol

Thats ok, I'm sure the "right" boat is just around the corner waiting for everyone

I'm sure that you all would hate to hear that the P/O bought me a new prop since some one stole the one that was on it

Since we're listing out Starcrafts,
my current list is:
1963 Jupiter 16'
1967 Starchief 18'
1973 Capri 17'
1974 Super Sport 16'
1981 Seafarer 14'

All are in process right now.
I've been running my 14' for now and trying to get some work done on the SS and the Starchief.

I've got my eyes on a 1968 Chieftain, but it's pretty much just a hull, the motor and all wood are all but gone. The hull and paint though are near mint. I'm contemplating maybe doing an outboard conversion bracket.

The Starchief is a boat that I searched for, but now that I've got it, I find I'd rather have an open boat. I've been debating maybe looking for an open hull instead, and then doing a Chieftain as my cabin boat.
What I really need is an open, but lighter 16', or a bass boat.

Ok,ok, so Paul got his for a sweeeeeet deal. Not to one up ya or anything, but that Jupiter that I got was FREE!!! (Along with the motor and trailer) A buddy had it in his shed and wanted it gone like yesterday... So, I got a new to me boat! He then bought a 19ft Thompson, but I think I got the better deal...

hi i am trying to identify my Starcraft boat It looks a lot like this one (found this one for sale). mine is a 16 ft fiberglass trihull. the only difference between the pic and mine is i have a trihull. sry I don't have a pic of mine yet it is 4 hours north and i have not yet dragged it home to start my retro.

I recently acquired a 74 16' open bow aluminum vhaul. I dont know know the exact model.

The boat was my grandfathers, who gave it to me a month ago, after its been sitting in his yard for about 10 years.

some of my earliest fishing memories are on that boat so i couldn't stand watching it sit around any more. He had bought the boat a few months before i was born so its been in the family a long time.

I have started a full resto project a few days ago and already have the boat gutted out, and i'm about to flip it to paint the haul.

one of these days, I'm going to start a post in the resto section and throw up some pics as i go along.

90% chance it's a SuperSport. I hope to get one of those at some point though I'll probably shoot for an 18'. They are great boats! Good luck with your project and we look forward to pictures and your resto thread perhaps when the new iboats server is running and the site gets speedy again.

The other 10% goes to either their bass type boat or the center console which they also made we will need pics to verify which one plus we just plain love pics .

Hi Guys, Got her for free along with a 30hp Evinrude! '63 Comet 16 ft'er. Hull and transom are solid. Got the correct windshield and a trailer for her since the pictures. Restoration begins soon. Love the lines of this old boat.
